601 was one of three "Diversity in Motion" AC6000CWs, along with 5000 and 5001. Both are now in storage.

freebrickproductions ASC Electronic Bells normally have a deeper tone then GS Type 1. All the ASC E-Bells in my area have the deeper tone. But it seems like the ones UPRR and CSX own emit the GS Type 1 sound. Edit: Forgot to mention San Diego MTA light rail also has them and they have a deeper tone also then GS Type 1.

All of CSX's are 4600HP now, IIRC. UP's have always been 4400HP, but could've been upgraded to 6000 HP if they so desired.

Great catches! RIP these signals, quite a diversity of bells (and all the equipment, really) here. Where is the closest ASC e-bell to you now? AFAIK, for me it's the ones in Glen Ellyn, IL, and the ones in the next town over, Wheaton, IL, which are both a good three hours away from me.
