FreeCAD - Setting up Drilling Paths and Patterns

How to set up a drilling pattern on your part in FreeCAD from scratch.
We first create a sample part using the part design workbench by padding a simple rectangle to which we then attach our drilling pattern via a sketch to the face of our part. The drilling pattern consists of a series of constrained circles. We will then use the hole tool in the part design to turn these circles into holes. allowing us to use the path workbench to automatically pull in this pattern and plot the holes without selecting all the holes first. We go through how to set up a drilling tool and take a look at what the 'peck' and 'dwell' settings are actually for

Hi, there is the path workbench which is worth looking at which deals with CNC and does gcode output.

@@MangoJellySolutions Good Day Mango, I have run into a problem that I cant figure out. I'd like to make a spiral array of a pocket and have no idea how to make it happen. I made the spiral and have tried using the draft multi-twisted spiral but that made a mess. Any help would be very welcome. Thanks!

I am wondering if it will help but I noticed you have said 'array' so I am wondering if you are looking for say a number of holes evenly spaced along a spiral path that are pocketed into the object?
