Freecoaster all the way…love the silence while I’m gliding along👌🏼

Ive just started riding again after 20+yrs, and built myself up a t1... decided to go the colony swarm hub, I'm glad i did its bloody awesome. Never rode a freecoaster back in the day, but always wanted too. It is taking a little bit of getting used to riding on, however it is a lot of fun (also though never realised how much back pedaling managed the balancing in fakie) On a separate note..... thank you for uploading all these videos, they have been really useful in assisting the process of starting to ride again. Removing bad habits, and replacing them with better technique has helped a lot.

Whats your.opinion about swarm fc? Im about to get one but need more feedback so i can decide
@dvous1 Жыл бұрын
@yudhafirmansyah2174 mate tbh i wasnt sure how it was going to go, but its actually really nice to ride. The fc side of it took some time to get used to, apparently pedaling backwards with a normal hub does a heap for balance. In saying that, it really doesnt seem to be too hard. The only issue i have is how quiet it turned out to be, however that has absolutely no sway what so ever on how it performs. Really happy i decided to get one, and have no plans to change it out any time soon 👌👌 *disclaimer* my abilities are pretty low, so i dont know just how much weight my opinion on it will hold. That and its my first time running a brakeless setup, so probably not the best decision for getting back into it after 15-20yrs and with a stuffed back from my time in the military 😅

Looking for something balancing reliability and ease of maintenance. My bike is my main method of transportation and i push it a little but i dont trick. Focused mainly on acceleration, somthing that can handle alot of power from a standstill. Im about 160lb and female, so not alot of upper body but i got legs. Just snapped a chain i got 3 months ago. On that topic, any suggestions on brands for high quality chains? My knees and shins thank you in advance.

I went from loving the sound of a loud cassette to the complete opposite the cassette is fun in its own way but having the quiet bike is a plus for me especially when it comes to sneaking around

Slolen Rampage has an awesome cassette, very koud.

Also, many people have trouble going from cassette to freecoaster, on rollouts. Cause they use to relay on pedal pressure to turn around

Can anyone help me I just bought a we the people bmx second hand and when I peddle forwards it spins the gear on the back but the wheel stays stationary. Can anyone help me?

makes sense now, in the mid-late 80's a freecoaster had 2 small knobs you could dial in or out to choose between coaster brake or freewheel

When you buy a pre-built entry level BMX bike, what kind of hub does it traditionally come with?
@ianward73763 ай бұрын
My 1st freecoaster is a Federal, only started riding today. Total deathtrap. I can do a Total rotation on the crank before engagement and have nearly bust my teeth and jaw on the crossbar. I can't believe they have put this into production especially considering Americans and how they like to sue people

I'm kinda old, 43, and looking to get into BMX. I like the Kink Whip but it's $800 here in Canada. There is a 1 year old Switch in pretty much new condition I can buy for $500. I like the style and dual paint on this bike but I'm unsure about the freecoaster. What should I do?

@dontdoitbennie Right on man! I ended up buying an Eastern Nightwasp and I'm having lots of fun just learning the basics but I did just put it away for the winter as we have snow now. Can't wait for spring already lol

@@av_rob79 I bought a Stolen Spade but seriously considering a Flybikes Omega. This winter thing sure does put a damper on things though!

Planetary Hub - First he says There are some bugs with it , and then goes on to say it's very reliable. It was very reliable, there wouldn't be any bugs.

That's not true at all. A bug doesn't mean it's not gonna work.
