9-time Freediving World Champion, Yasemin Dalkilic, explores the Spiegel Grove, a 510 ft long wreck off the coast of Key Largo, Florida. An amazing ecosystem home to many species like the giant Goliath Grouper, this wreck is also a dangerous dive, with stiff currents threatening to blow the diver away. Yasemin challenges herself by attempting to dive to the bottom of the wreck on one breath of air!

it is not a very dangerous dive, many people dive this wreck every year and are fine but I may add the current does pose a little threat

You are amazing! Pushing your personal limits to help raise awareness about our ecological issues is an incredible path to choose. I can't imagine the mental calm and physical conditioning needed to hold ones breath that long. I'll bet you could do the Ginnie Springs cave dive from the Devils Eye to the Devils Ear. After seeing your capacity for breath hold while swimming, I'm surprised you hadn't done it on your episode you had filmed there. Manatee Springs has a legitimate swimthrough which I doubt anyone has attempted to freedive before.. There's a siphon called Catfish Motel which goes down to about 100' and over to the Manatee Springs main vent where it spits you out. With someone as talented as you are, and a professional team to keep you safe, that would be one insane video.

Amazing diving talent... over the top with the "drama-filled" narrative. The deaths see mentions were in an unauthorized area of the ship. She incredibly is swimming through the main corridor. Loved the video, but it is best seen with the audio off.

I'm so fascinated by ship wrecks and artificial reefs, as they are so helpful for the ocean life and creates a safe place for their homes. this was such a great dive and your control is great! one day I will be able to go and explore a shipwreck but for now I'm petrified.

Thanks for all the great comments, quite motivating as we continue on to our next videos. dlopez8a, It was edited (by my husband) with Adobe Premiere and After Effects. He recently started a blog site where he shares his experiences with underwater cinematography. Site is: underwatercinema. SyrRduDtw, yes it's a shame we didn't come across. Quite a special place as you witnessed yourself. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

Thank you very much. When I prepare for a record I train about 5-6 hours per day, but this documentary can be counted as off season, so I train about 1 hour per day. My static apnea record is 6:25.

My son and I dove her this past Aug 4-5. Amazing! The currents were extremely strong on both days. Held on to the bow line for our safety stop and we were like flags in the wind. Diving on EAN31 we were limited to MOD of 113'. She is right when she says you suck the air down quickly in the currents. Very impressive what Yasemin can do. Would love to have been there when she made the dives.
