Spent a couple days diving for fishing gear and other trash that accumulates at the pier. Always a good time!

Thank you for providing underwater footage. Always want to know what fish is under there. Doesn’t seem like much lingcod or bottomfish there
@MukADuck2 жыл бұрын
Glad to help! I was diving in the winter when a lot of the rockfish go to deeper waters. I see a lot in spring/summer/fall when the water heats up. Not many lings though, that's for sure

Yo ! I appreciate the clean up bro. Those squid jigs you have there, you can resell them. It’s almost squidding season here in the sound.

Yup! I can't wait to dive for some more this fall and winter!

Nice work dude thanks. About how deep is it underneath the pier there?
@MukADuck7 күн бұрын
Thanks bro! Its about 30-50ft deep depending on tides and what part of the dock you're on. It gets deeper at the end of the dock

Nice channel man! Im thinking about taking this up as a hobby. Any recommendations on gear or dive spots? I’m all ears. Thanks for the vids and cleaning up our waters🍻

Hey thanks! I wear a 7mm open cell wetsuit and that is pretty much standard for freediving in Washington. If you are just getting into it, I would just rent a wetsuit and snorkle around and see if you enjoy being in the water, test the waters so to speak, as it can be a big investment with all the gear. If you want to start freediving a freediving certification class is very helpful. You will learn a lot about safety while freediving and different breathing/diving techniques. Freediving can be deadly! Be safe! Good luck on your journey!

@@MukADuck Thanks! Ive heard 7mm is pretty much the way to go around here. Ive been looking around for some freediving classes. I havent been able to find any local, most are scuba. Im considering checking out Ted Hartys online classes to get some basic knowledge. Been swimming here in Washington my whole life, just wanna see whats beneath the surface😆 Thanks for the reply

how do you make sure people aren't casting lines over you?
@MukADuck2 жыл бұрын
I'm usually diving directly under the dock or close to it. The fisherman will cast out a little farther. I still try to give them distance if I see someone above me fishing
@Claps17752 жыл бұрын
Do you still do clean up? Man, the stuff you find.
@MukADuck2 жыл бұрын
I do cleanups during the winter, rest of the year I’m spearfishing.
@LuU2be2 жыл бұрын
I would love to do the same thing! Is there any organization you guys registered for this kind of event?
@MukADuck2 жыл бұрын
I just started doing cleanup dives with my friends, but there is an organization called Our Ocean and You that coordinates twice a year scuba cleanups at the pier. You can reach out to them.
