I went to an area of silence and it was to quiet, felt pressure in my head, needed noise. From then till now 25 yrs. later silence and I are best friends. How can I hear the still small voice of Spirit if I can't get quiet? Quiet & I are best friends now, I live on a farm, in a forest, at the beach. I hear silence. I have always needed silence it was my level this lifetime. Now I'm content and silent, one with nature. My town is 1,800 people. Where I was grew from 6,000 to 11.000 I had to leave, moved up the hill higher in the foothills. Then that town was 11.000 so I moved up north in USA they had no law and order. Prices kept going higher for rent/mortage's time to go. Now I have a bran new home, on 9 acres with 50 acres of forest around me, then more and more mountains of green as far as my eyes and a google map can see. Follow the path of your heart, even if you wait till grandkids are having kids. Get to it, meditate, introspect every night of your day. SRF-Self-Realization Fellowship higher knowledge I found. I would have loved to go there to the Azores for a visit on the most remotest as long as I have food. Maybe stay with a family who can feed me. They will make income for their time & trouble. Not in to restaurants, that has nothing to do with silence and all to do with noise and the body.

I was born in the USA. But moved to the Azores, Pico Island, in 1982. I have been to all of the islands and love them all. Each one has it's own distinctive characteristics, wonders and beauty. I have lived on three of the nine islands; Pico, Faial and Terceira. It's very hard to say which I love the most. Like I said before. Each island has it's own distinctive characteristics, wonders and beauty. Just a small side note. I know Milton and Walter personally. I worked with Walter at "Casa da Montanha" for two seasons. One of, if not the, best time of my life. Cheers.

What a gorgeous film about a gorgeous place! I simply can't see enough Acores documentaries as it brings me closer :-) However, if I may point out, the place seen from around 24:15 is not Nordeste but only Nordeste's tiny harbour, as it sounds a bit like the former. Nordeste actually is a fairly large village a bit to the north. Anyway, the road (?) down to the harbour is the absolutely steepest road I ever had the (dis-)pleasure to climb up, by a very long country mile.

@ricardomachado67182 жыл бұрын
To those who did not knew that it existed , it was a discovery. Simple as that. Of course to the peoples that live ther the discovery was of the people who arrived there. A tur discovery only applies to land that has no people.

@@haddingtoniangcp2464 you have to think in their perspective. For example, the first europeans to arrive to America - a continent they did not know it existed - it was a discovery from their point of view. John 1.1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with G-d, and the Word was G-d. The same was in the beginning with G-d. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not not anything made that was made. Genesis 1.1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of G-d moved upon the face of the waters. And G-d said, let there be light: and there was light.aAnd G-d saw the light, that it was good: and G-d divided the light from the darkness. There was one land mass, until after the flood of Noah's time, and it split into seven continent's. There hadn't been rain, or volcanic eruptions until after the flood, because during the flood, volcanoes formed and erupted filling the earth with water from under the firmament, and the window's above the firmament opened and the first rain occured, book of Jasher gives the Genesis account more description. I wanted to correct the narrator's wrong account of how the azores were created. If you cut out the continent's with paper, they all fit back together with the exception of italy, which is Edom, which came from an Angel, who used a rod to make it come up. Nice place, many beautiful places G-d created, to bad man is destroying many places on earth.

The Portuguese DID NOT discover Brazil Early History of Brazil As with many South American countries, the history of Brazil begins with indigenous people, and dates back over 10,000 years. The first inhabitants of Brazil were native indigenous “Indians” (“indios'' in Portuguese) who lived mainly on the coast and alongside rivers in tribes.
