Joshua Lansell-Kenny My Grandma just told me she remembers having the towel rolls in America back in the 60s or 70s. Is the U.K. really that far behind, although their most famous tv show has an alien flying around in a big blue phone booth. I'm sorry, that hurt me too I love Doctor Who, but it's part of my point, every picture or video I see of London still has red phone booths on every corner, so i guess modern means in British English means 40 years behind the rest of the world.

I'm not an expert with engineering cars but here's what I think could be done to transform a standard everyday family sedan or SUV into a limousine!!! so please bear with me & correct me if I'm wrong!!! say you want to make a 2020 Cadillac CT6-V Limited i-TRAC AWD 6.2 t-Turbo V8 4-Dr Luxury Sedan (LHD) into a 6.5 metre stretched limousine!!! you need to procure 2 pre owned or lightly damaged Cadillac CT6-V Limited i-TRAC AWD 6.2 t-Turbo V8 4-Dr Luxury Sedan (LHD) from a scrap yard, one that hasn't been scrapped as yet!!! cut out the mid floor section including the full B-Pillar from the 2 donor Cadillac CT6-V Limited i-TRAC AWD 6.2 t-Turbo V8 4-Dr Luxury Sedan (LHD) & weld each other to the length you intend to stretch!!! and then weld the new floor section back onto the front & rear section of the car that you've already cut out for the stretch!!! agreed it's a time consuming complex job but it's worth the effort & money!!! please advise!!!

8:00 water molecules are larger than steam molecules? Stupidity abounds.
@blaws66845 жыл бұрын
Liquid water molecules are indeed larger than gasious state water (steam). That’s true for most any liquid. Goretex is based precisely on that principle. Another benefit of this change of state is that a gas can be compressed while a liquid can’t. This is the difference between pneumatic versus hydraulic power.
@jmmahony5 жыл бұрын
@@blaws6684 water molecules are water molecules, whether in liquid or gas phase, so they can't be a different size. And this video claims the gas molecules are 700X smaller, which is nuts. Curiously, the wikipedia page on goretex says that "Each pore (in goretex) is approximately 1/20,000 the size of a water droplet", while the video claims the "water molecules are 20,000 times larger than the airholes (in goretex)", so clearly the narrator just misread the script (or the writer goofed when copying some info about goretex).
@blaws66845 жыл бұрын
If the volume of a known quantity water does not change when changing state gas/liquid/solid perhaps you’d like to explain how frozen pipes burst? Explain diffusion through a membrane? And finally how does Gore-Tex work.
@blaws66845 жыл бұрын
I stand corrected and thank you. It’s been a long time since I did chem and I had forgotten some basic principles. In the case of change of state you correctly said molecules don’t change size when changing from one form to another. Actually They change volume. And most relevant to Gore-Tex, the smallest condition for liguid water is a droplet of numerous active molecules thanks to the surface tension inherent to that state. Hence the rejection of liquid water droplets through their Teflon membrane and the diffusion properties of water vapor as single molecules through the same filter Thanks again.
