Within the animal armory, multiple applications of ejection and odour have more than proven their worth. Throughout the ocean the cuttlefish evades its enemies by disappearing behind an ejection of ink. Combining ejection and odor, the skunk can fire it's sickening stink with practiced precision. More hunter than scavenger, the hyena employs odour as a means of communication in its complex society. The Musk ox bull uses its heady aroma to mark trails and compete for mates. The Tasmanian devil is well known for its foul odor but is now understood to utilize smell in its secretive eco-systems. More aggressive than it appears, the male koala intimidates rivals by marking its territories with secretions from its chest. Both ejection and odor are used to devastating effect by the innovative bolas spider. Finally, the ancient millipede deters and injures would-be predators with a noxious discharge. Animal Armory takes a closer look at these mighty instruments of destruction and the animals that wield them with absolute precision. QUE HERMOSO ES EL MUNDO NATURAL, MIRANDO A LAS SEPIAS SU AGILIDAD, HABILIDAD, VELOCIDAD Y TODO, ES DIGNO DE ACEPTAR QUE LOS ANIMALES NO SOLO TIENEN INTELIGENCIA SINO MUCHA INTELIGENCIA, CLARO QUE LOS CIENTÍFICOS DICEN QUE NO. PERO ME PREGUNTO: PODRÁ ALGÚN CIENTÍFICO CAMBIARSE DE TERNO MIENTRAS ESTA EN LA OFICINA EN MEDIO DE TODOS SUS COLEGAS O DEL PUBLICO SIN QUE ESTOS SE DEN CUENTA? YO CREO QUE NO, ENTONCES NOSOTROS SOMOS LOS POCO INTELIGENTES SOLO ALABANCIOSOS Y HABLADORES, PERO CON CAPACIDAD LIMITADA. BASTANTE LENGUA. POQUITOS CESOS.

Please correct your information on the owl. I was telling my girlfriend while watching the skunk part they do have to watch out for owls. Because they have almost no sense of smell. So they don't care about the funk. You guys gave an alternate and false theorem. That they come in quickly so they can get them before they get sprayed. When 1 they're silent 2 they have almost no sense of smell. It's science First Entertainment second. We are enjoying the video. Just make your science more scientifically valid.
@Rashinnu3 жыл бұрын
It is true that the owl has almost no sense of smell, but even so the spray could still be dangerous if the skunk was able to get the owl in the eyes which could cause temporary blindness. So the stealth approach is still rather important, but it would have still been good to mention their nearly nonexistent sense of smell.

Over millions of years animals developed/evolved chemical weapons. hmmmmm don't think so. So presto, a skunk evolved that smell. Seems like intelligent engineering to me.
@shatnermohanty66783 жыл бұрын
Sir , when did this Presto moment happen ? I mean , this transition from odourless Skunk to stinky Skunk ; did it occur in 6000 BC or 1 million BC ? Did all Skunks around the world develop Scent glands all at once or some were left out ? And this process was completed in an hour or took an entire day ? I think this also explains about the Unicorn 🦄 . Ancient books mention Unicorns but none are found today . The real reason is just like Skunks got stink glands like , Presto , the Unicorns also lost their horns , Presto , and became Horses
@mikegustafson583 жыл бұрын
@@shatnermohanty6678 Interesting what happened to all the skunks before they "evolved" the stink gland. Did they "think" hey, we need a stink gland to survive? We better start evolving one and in a million years we will have it perfected. Sorry, it takes more blind faith to believe that stuff.
@shatnermohanty66783 жыл бұрын
@@mikegustafson58 Sir , the question remains unanswered . At what point in time did they develop Scent glands ? And did all Skunks around the world develop it at the same time ? I'm an ignorant person and I thought you might enlighten me regarding this .
