I love Freedom Call but I'm not entirely sure how to feel about this album. The first half of the album is really good but then you get hit with three ballads or something like that. I need to listen to it a few more times. Also, the artwork for this album is abysmal. Either way, I'm happy they're still cranking material out.

Mixed here too, friend... I've been delighted by every album almost, "Eternity" through "Beyond", though on this one the best tracks slapped me in the face right off the first listen whereas weaker songs left me stone-faced. I'm onto the first spin as I write, but I don't think I'll go further, for I assume that was all there was to take on this record

I agree with you. I didn't like half of the songs, and FC is my favorite band... I've been really disappointed. I really enjoy the old Freedom Call, when they used to be truly epic and not just so "happy". Their happy songs are great too, but I miss the epic atmospheres they used to create. Hopefully, Masters of Light is in the line of these epic songs, but this album was the worst for me.
