I’m a business owner who suffered total loss of my business by confiscation of my business by court order. We had reported crimes by the regulators, including over a $100M of state custodied trust funds missing. After a FOIA response showed the state didn’t have authority to even regulate our business, they turns around about 10 days later and sued us based on forged documents for $250M. We were crushed by 9 lawsuits, all based on forgeries and lies, and no one cared that we were shut down for missing trust funds, but didn’t care that the county officials were the trustees for the trust. My SBC pastors committed to silence because we have a few democratic members who might get concerned if we talk about corruption and embezzlement…. And now it turns out the executive board of the SBC might be involved in embezzlement of MBC funds. This is why they don’t want to call it out in the world. I am concerned that the SBC might be apostate already. They excommunicated me for telling my elders that they have made an idol out of peace over truth. They don’t want the truth anymore.

I understand the concept of second or third tier beliefs but I don't think this interview helped show clearly where Mr. Platt says that line should be drawn. The examples given were over things like infant baptism or dietary restrictions but Paul said that the Corinthian involved in sexual sin should be cut off from the congregation. Does this mean is OK for a member of the congregation to support a politician advocating for sexual sin? Or the murder of babies? As an honest question, doesn't it seem that Paul's condemnation and separation of one so that they may see the error of their ways apply here as well?

@@katiecugini979 Woke is viewing western culture as oppressive. This is a term that the 'woke' themselves came up with. See Eric Mason's book 'Woke Church.' The main thrust of 'woke' ideology and CRT is that western culture is inherently 'systemically' racist, and that by mere fact of being white in America, you contribute to racism because you benefit from the American system. David Platt has assented to many of the core tenets of CRT in his sermons including the imputation of guilt on white people for having 'white privilege.' The idea of ancestral guilt is unbiblical and wrong. Placing guilt on people because of their skin color is racist. This is why many people have a problem with David Platt. Also, there was a lot of strong-arming with members of his church who took issue with perceived CRT being spoken from the pulpit. Certain folks were put in positions of leadership without congregational vote, and then Platt chastised members for bringing up concerns from the pulpit and removed their membership status. I don't know all the details, because I don't go to his church. But the tenets of CRT that he has adopted are problem enough. Progressivism in the pulpit may not seem like an issue to you, but it is a major issue. And people are right to question David Platt when he parrots a progressive ideology from the pulpit. You can pretend 'woke' ideology and CRT aren't a real threat to the gospel, but they are even if most people in the pews can't articulate like I just did.

It is fair to levy criticism on the remnant radio guys if it seems they are not really pushing back against stuff that doesn't sound biblical. They definitely call out other individuals when they are not doing the right thing, so it was odd to see them not really do it here. However, the remnant radio guys are very gracious when they interview someone directly and it is obvious that when they do criticize others, it is out of love. So, I personally am not really upset with them about this episode. The problem with your question resides in the issue with Remnant Radio supporting guys such as Platt. I mean, it was even said at the very beginning that Michael is a fan... (which is quite troubling) this clearly indicates the obvious that it is not about having an unbiased platform or a space where people even holding different views can speak but that they endorse such individuals. It's been brought up many times that these guys are guilty of having some of the most heinous individuals on their platform that they fully endorse. The most recent with undeniable guilt was Mike Bickle. This incident should have been a major wake-up call to the community followers to this channel. Especially being there has yet to be a public confession of repentance regarding their support and guidance for a guy like Bickle. It's embarrassing to say the least and it's shameful that they haven't had the spiritual maturity to present that to their followers for their sake but most importantly our Lords sake. From a biblical standpoint we as believers should be holding these folks accountable. We should not be allowing them to free reign with this type of support without having a biblical response to their actions. We are commanded to do that. Test all and reject that which is not of God. This is supposed to be done in love and with that I encourage that be how we address them. Hatefulness is unacceptable and not how God wants us care for our neighbor. We should hate all things that are against God or do not represent him but through love is how we correct those things. Remnant Radio needs to shed the pride and they need to repent. I pray that the Lord through his spirit will give them the urge to repent.

It's everyone's right to vote how they see fit but I certainly question fellow believers who don't vote for candidates that are pro life, marriage between a man and woman, etc which I know to be biblical values. I don't believe who does one bad thing that you seriously hate is worse than someone whose life is a living example of racism and discord and vitriol who agrees with you on that issue. I agree with the overall notion that Christianity in America is very America-central and inherently tied with its politics, which is really really weird from a historical and cultural perspective, and also seems very out of touch with the worldwide Christianity as a whole, but the conclusions he comes to and their implementation, by embracing a lot of the narratives that a normal Christian, regardless of culture, would deem very unchristian, is very suspicious and very irrelevant from the worldwide Christianity perspective. Our problem, I think, as Christians in America, is we have a hard time distinguishing between being un-American and un-Christ-like.

I am just about to watch this. My expectations are low. I saw him on Elephant Room 10 -12 years ago. Was impressed with his humility and gentleness. Since the fights in his church and seeing interviews, he’s changed. Seems to lack the Biblical focus. Also, isn’t it enough to pastor a church and focus on your relationships including your own family? Why so many books? Isn’t the church you serve enough? A pastor is supposed to preach on moral issues from a Biblical standpoint. Educating a church on how a declining culture is to be resisted is a pastor’s job. Thankfully, my pastor does the opposite from the political bucket analysis.

@Josh.1234Ай бұрын
You do know God was going to kill David for what he did to Uriah and Bathsheba. He did kill the son who was born out of his adultery. David covered up his sin by killing Uriah and marrying Bathsheba to hide the fact he had sex (maybe raped) with a married woman. He got away with it and it wasn't till Nathan came and condemned him later with the threat of David's life that he finally repented. This unfortunately didn't spare the life of the child which died. Your example of David is a perfect example of God and fellow Christians holding leaders responsible and not letting them escape their unrepentant sin.

im so tired of church vicabulary. Be faithful. Live for God. Walk with him. What turns out is we perform out of guilt and church hierarchy expectations. We strive to become significant in the life of the church system. So political. i think leaders, teacher's, janitors, should not get paid. Freely do what God has given you to do. Keep a job and do something for free to contribute to the church operative. If you write books, the proceeds should go to the church. Keep some form of employment outside the church. Some would visit the sick and others would care for and report on finances. Everyone should be trained and encouraged to share the gospel in their sphere of influence. Nobody should get paid for work in the church. No one should profit monitarily for spreading and sharing the gospel. The American gospel centers around prosperity. Beautiful buildings, Rich preachers, entertaining worship, funny charismatic speakers. Money given should be available to help members in times of need. Tithes should be churches welfare so to speak. Money should go to college funds, medical, dental, rent. There should be no mansions hear on earth for the select, hoity toity so called pastors. We talk humility but have no concept of dying to self and magnifying God. We magnify our pastor and some of them fleece the flock by telling them to put money into the store house meaning their house or mansion or mansions and yahts and jets. God restores but does not erase consequenses. The bible designates a very steep standard to qualify people to lead others. Christians can have blind spots and miss the red flags that would steer them away from evil. You might want to clarify the statement that you can't be a christian and believe that way to those beliefs are not congruant with the bible teachings and therefore are not Christian beliefs. We must leave the judgements of people for God to do. He never gives up on us. He has straightened me out on many occasions. Judging people is arrogant. Stay humble knowing we all are a work in progress and standing firmly for the truth is only successful when God sends us armed into the fray. Love does not mean accept. Love delivers justice with the purpose of protecting the innocent and redirecting the guilty.
