Freedom High School (Woodbridge) vs. Varina HS Varsity Football August 31st, 2023

2 things can be true. Freedom is a dominant team and they could have lost to Varina. The 2001 Miami Hurricanes almost lost to Boston College. Every team usually has that one or two games that they dont look as dominant. Division 6 will be more of a challenge for Freedom this year with Highland Springs moving up but even the Springers are not dominant this year.

Nah, I was at this game and the final score does not reflect Varina was actually soundly outplayed. Freedom was clearly the better team who beat Varina in all major aspects of the game in offense, defense, and special teams.

Best team in state of VA (Freedom 6A)?? Against a 4A Varina team?? "If" the Blue Devils had 5 more mins...they clearly wouldve won. I have eyes for a reason!!

We all have eyes and we all watch them lose,an if you knew football you would know that any division can beat anybody,phoebus won it last year at 3a an destroyed 6a back to back state champion Oscar smith 56- o please learn the game before you talk......period

@@garymayfield5995 We all know football...we either played it or been around it. Its really not complicated. The fact that I said if there was more time I believe Varina wouldve won...is not farfetched. My point is...there is ALOT of hype surrounding Freedom this year giving what they accomplished last year...that being said, for many ppl calling them the team to beat THIS yr....I dont see them repeating. No need to get ya under roos in a bunch. Again, I have eyes for a reason.

Would've, could've, should've lol if Varina was so great they wouldn't have let Freedom get up 27-0 on them. Penalties and a couple lucky pic sixes brought them back into the game but it was already written by that point. Hats off to Varina though definitely a solid team with heart
