Hello Scott. Thanks for showing this video. I like the way the four squares are positioned together in the centre, and the rest are randomly placed around it. The texture of the wood is enhanced by the torch and gives it a look of pottery. I collect stuff as well. I am sorting through a box of mesh fruit bags. I have used some of them for art, but I have way too many, so now I am going to use them as a cushion filler. Nothing wasted. Thanks for the inspiration. ilona

Yea it was quite a bit of work but very enjoyable. Always fun working with free wood cause there's nothing to lose if things go wrong.

I really enjoy your art and the process. I try to do things similar to your process. Looking for scrap or trees that are thrown away or a downed tree in the wilderness. The process is always something to look forward too.

Yea, there was a point where I thought "Hmmm, what am I doing with this?" too. But as it goes just need to hope the pieces fall into place. Good to hear the music worked out. I figure if the art project doesn't move you hopefully the music will :)

At first I couldn't figure out how you were going to make art out of those end cuts. But then I saw the video and the grain and I was blown away. From my point of view a piece like that belongs on a wooden door. It's amazing. I was highly impressed how the grain turned out. You can see art in things that others cannot see until you are finished with the art piece. Also, great choice of music in the background. I'm impressed. I enjoy looking at it.

I get it!!!!!!!!!!!!! For you it was like a song / poem you wrote for an album / book and you held it back because it was not part of the theme of the collection for that album / book.... and it may never will be but in your mind it is special... not your typical song / poem of yours.... Hey Scott a name change for my channel from BodaciousBaz, but on another note, I think it should be called the "Strides of life" with all those feet randomly circling pavers in the middle, just my interpretation, sit back take a moment and you may agree. as always great work. Best regards Baz.

Cool new name for your channel! Now that I look at it again I think Strides of life is very fitting. Fits like a comfortable shoe. Even though the name of the video is Freedom's spirit it doesn't mean the art piece can't have a different name and that one works perfect - Thanks Baz!
