Just a guesstimate but about an hour for every 8 seconds of video.

Quite unique and a very original idea, Scott. I can see where this might be a big hit in your neck of the woods. Although, I'm pretty sure most folks here in Maine might not be able to grasp the concept, 😂 I like it though! 👍👍👍

Yea I think you're right about that. Although some people in Maine may have pet cactus's in their house :)

What a beautiful wall hanging!!!!! You inspired me to go ahead and use some of my old barn lumber I had hang around. I think all will clean up nicely. I noticed you mixed acrylic paint to get the color you wanted for the back an fiil ins. , I can think of several reasons you would, your input would be welcomed. I am just starting to really get into wall art and alowing me to use all the wood I have not thrown away in years.I really love your channel, everyone teaches me and inspires me!!!! I have been a lover of wood all my life, there is no wood around here that goes to the burning pile. I have a ceative mind and love to recycle and up cycle old wood and give it another life!!!! I know that most wood has some beauty hidden beneath and just waiting for somebody to expose it to the world. If anybody says that wood does not talk to you their full of B S. IT will tell what is the most beautiful way to arrange the pieces to show off ITS realy beauty!!!! 🤎🤎
@Aaah-Mazn-CreationsАй бұрын
Your video gave me a LOT of inspiration, you showed us that even a rotten tree stump has a lot of HIDDEN BEAUTY INSIDE just waiting for the right person to come along and expose it!!!!!! It is just amazing what YOU can do with fire wood. Your are a true ARTIST!!! Its 1: 20 am but now i am wide awake and want to go to work. I will be dreaming of all night about all the fire wood I have and how I can use it!! Thanks again and keep making more videos to get us all inspired!!! I love Recycling and repourpising old wood!!

You could shorten the video a bit by just getting to it. Maybe show cutting one or two slices with the chain saw . And do viewers really want to see you loading the pieces on your cart? Just saying.

Incredible video, scott oconnor. Looking forward to seeing your next upload from you. I hit the thumbs up button on your creation. Keep up the amazing work! Your project sounds so fun-what kind of wood are you using for the Road Runner, and do you have any tips for someone just starting with scroll saw art?
@scottoconnorАй бұрын
Much appreciated. It's made of oak. As far as tips for just starting out with the scroll saw there are lots of videos on the subject here on youtube. Just go to the search bar and type in scroll saw for beginners or scroll saw tips and tricks and watch a few videos. Hopefully you'll find some of them to be helpful.

Thanks for the ideas and inspiration, Scott! My wife is into owls and there is still time to come up with something akin to what you did. 👍👍👍

Good idea! I've also been thinking of doing an owl wood art piece myself. It's been on the list for awhile. Was thinking of making one for Halloween but didn't get around to it. But regardless, any time of year is good - they have such great wood art potential!

Mod Art out of the Natural!!! Very fundamental wood forms the swirls that are consider modern art!!! Please, a piece like this would work well in Epoxy Resin Cover as an added medium for your art!!! It got complicated fast in my mind!!! I watched at 1.5 speed as a lot videos take so long as people stretch them out extra dollars time format!!!! Yeaaaaaaaa, Scott!!! Happy Thanksgiving Scott!!!

Epoxy resin would probably work good on this. Something to consider. Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

Hey Scott! Happy Halloween. I'm about the process of the build. You're really evolving. I like your tool collection and that you've now got a outdoor shop that lends to improved and efficient build! LOL! Two scroll saws? LOL! I'm envious at the supply of interesting cookies. Miss your musical selections and voice overs.
@scottoconnor2 ай бұрын
Thanks Tom. Outdoor shop is working out well. Mostly use just one scroll saw but occasionally use the second one.

Turtles do not face each other when they make love but are tail to tail and not mounted!!!! They court each other by walking one behind the other!!!! The Turtles disappear in the wood art as they are same color!!! It makes me nervous to not see what there is to see!!! thinking, Am I missing something in the art???
@scottoconnor2 ай бұрын
Well, one is munching on a cactus and the other one is thinking about taking a bite. You have a point - I had thought about staining the art piece different colors and that would've defined the different parts and pieces better and really brought out the tortoises. However after burning and wiring the wood I liked the way it looked so decided not to stain. Point taken though and in the future will keep in mind to try to define different parts more clearly.

Scott, Good to see you creating on KZbin! Noticed screws added for strength? with a collaborator you can get more videos up and running. Never got more than a hundred views, So it's Instagram and Facebook for me. Keep that mojo going! LOL!
@scottoconnor2 ай бұрын
Yes, lately I've been attaching my 2nd backerboards with screws. I used to always staple first and second backerboards. Now a lot of the time I'll just glue the pieces to the first backerboard (let dry) then use glue and screws for the second one. I think screws are easier and more convenient sometimes and probably have stronger attachment - although staples are more than strong enough. Working with collaborator editor is awesome! I edited my first 110 videos on the channel myself but moving forward want to keep working with my editor :)

Good to hear you like the longer versions too. I have over 100 of those on my channel so now want some shorter ones to change things up a bit. Collaborating with an editor with better editing skills than me so need to give a lot of the credit to him for artwork in the video :)
