i have a clump of thin looking bamboo very green beautiful! it never really grew for 5 years I took a chance and replanted it against a cement retainer wall last year. I live in the Seattle area. this year i’ve got shoots coming out everywhere! yikes! i didn’t know what i was doing still don’t but my bamboo is growing beautifully! thank you for your video!

A buddy and I in junior high built a hut out thick ,full grown Johnson grass. Although not waterproof ,it was big enough to walk around In . Oh what we could a built with bamboo.

Wow, he does know Bamboo, and he's such a pleasant person to listen to. I love Bamboo, we have it at my deceased FIL's memorial park. I use it for numerous things, from Tomato stakes, I hang bird feeders on some I've cut and hung up, I also use them to attach outside string lights. They're so many useful things to use them for, glad to have them as a wonderful tree also.

I have huge bamboo in my backyard some of its 6 inches wide. I hang a hammock on it all the time during the summer it’s like being in the jungle.

My brother planted some on our property years ago. It got out of control and I hated it for years, until I built a pen around some of it and put the pigs in there. The pigs and everyone who sees the pen are amazed by the shade it provides for them. I like bamboo now😀

Feed it to cows in the winter! It works great, I use phylostachys bissetti for it's shortness so I don't have to cut it down.... Also less chance of cows eating parasites off the ground

I'm looking for a winter hardy clumping variety that would be a good screen to hide a pool and people swimming as well as maybe block some wind the more foliage the better but not necessary but I would really like it for the farm animals

At about 17:00 when he was talking about the feeling in the grove and his theory: I’ve felt that feeling too. For me, some of those times, it happened when I was pregnant. I have a theory a lot like his. I believe we each have a spirit or soul. I believe plants and animals have souls, and even the earth does. I think that feeling happens when there happens to be a time where more than one soul is present in a body at one time. When I was pregnant, my body held my own soul and my baby’s soul. When you were in that grove, the grove held its own soul and yours. It’s an indescribable, beautiful feeling.

I got a buddhas belly type of bamboo it’s so beautiful I love it so much and so does my neighbors I think it’s ready to come out of the pot and go into the ground .so this video taught me important info . I live in Kaneohe oahu Hawaii and we have a giant native bamboo here called hula bamboo it’s light and dark and white streaks of color on it it’s beautiful and my back yard has one of the last standing bamboo patches alive that has been here before the annexation of our kingdom by America
