With the first Olympic Qualifier going down in Shanghai the weekend after, some of the usual faces were missing from the UCI BMX Freestyle Park contest at FISE Montpellier 2024. Regardless, some heavy moves went down during practice. Here are some iPhone clips from a little windy, but still action-packed afternoon in the beautiful South of France.

I love seeing a contest still thriving for bmx. Here in the states it seems like action sports have really gone weak. Xgames builds tiny little courses for skateboards, and the bmx guys are stuck riding 5 foot quarters. Fise has the size and flow course these guys actually need! Stoked to see it, cheers
