Hi pal. I use a 2 1/8th (inch) mesh board. If you cannot get hold of them they can easily be made from some aluminium, Perspex, plastic, brass, copper etc. The needles I use are "Loomis". Just try an internet search, I would be surprised if there isn't somewhere in Canada that sells them.

Brilliant! Now, at the risk of asking a silly question, what is the difference between draw cord and twine?
@struug12 жыл бұрын
could you show the best way to add twine if you run out, like what knot you use and where is the best place to tie a new piece in. thanks great series of videos
@freedomofabird11 жыл бұрын
Terminology really. The draw cord is thicker braid and is what makes the purse net "Purse" and close up. The twine is what the mesh is made from. Hope this helps.

Hello, I am very grateful for the videos on net making. However, I cannot find videos on ending a net & removing it from the ring. Thank you.

I dont know how much you would charge because I dont know what the demand is, but the cord is spun polyester. The dayglo colours work in the same way that deer hunters in the US have to wear blaze orange in some states when hunting. (animals are colour blind)

Yes bud we eat some of the rabbits, and they are good eating, low in cholestrol. If they are young they are nice flash fried in butter, shortly after catching, but fully grown ones are nice in the slow cooker until the meat drops of the bone, and then use in a pie or a curry of your liking.

@struug I will get this done soon, but it will be in a couple of weeks, probably due to work commitments. Hope the vids are useful.

If I were to sell any of these that I make... how much should I charge for each one? (In the US.) You say, "Twine." Is it a plastic cord? Thanks:) BOP

Its a purse net for catching rabbits. If you look at my other vids, you will see plenty of ferreting videos which show the net in use.
