Surprising my son with a Yamaha Raptor 90!

It was a very surreal moment for me to see him grab the handle bars and roll on the throttle of the Raptor as he has wanted a sport quad for as long as I can remember! I can feel the emotion while reading this. Thank you for sharing that with us. And while thinking forward, I can definitely tell you that when I look back in the past to this day I will feel the same as you my brother. Seeing him excited to ride for the very first time with confidence, the moment when we first hit the road and you hear me say, "I love this" that was about as raw as it gets. It was so gratifying and rewarding to not only surprise him with his very own new quad but up until now my son has never really had the desire to ride because he didn't feel comfortable on dirt bikes. But now on the Raptor he feels confident and the passion for riding is growing. Speaking of my emotions during that special moment that I shared with you guys on camera, it was just such an awesome feeling seeing him for the very first time actually enjoying the quad and this is when I saw for the first time he was experiencing the love of riding.

So I have the ability to ride an LTZ 400 anytime I want but I will have to search hard to find another LTR 450 to race. That's a good idea thoughbecause that would be a great video to see the difference between 50cc's and the fact that the LTR 450 is tuned a little bit more aggressively for the track.

I don't know much about the Chinese quads but if it holds up as well as my Chinese Apollo dirt bike then I would say it's definitely a good buy. Also your son is not going to know the difference between an expensive quad and an inexpensive quad, he's going to be thrilled no matter what! The only suggestion I really have for you is to look over the quad and ensure that all the bolts are tight and that none appear to be backing out. That's the main thing with the Chinese machines is they create a little bit more vibration than their Japanese counterparts and with the lack of loctite a lot of the bolts on the chassis seem to back out rather quickly. That's the only issue I've ever had with my Apollo dirt bike and it's a known issue in the community. Whatever you decide to do I know your son's going to be happy! 😁

I wasn’t looking to change it but I did ran into a couple videos on KZbin of ppl changing them. If you have any feelings at all this comment is about to make you feel shitty. Initially, he was very grateful for the dirt bike. However, my son has high functioning autism and suffers from multiple things because of his condition. one such disorder he has as a result of autism is a sensory disorder. He did not respond will to the balance and sound of the loud dirt bike and as a result did not feel confident nor enjoy riding the dirt bike. This promoted me to try an ATV for him because he felt he would be more confident on 4 wheels vs two and the Raptor 90 is considerably quieter than the dirt bike, reducing the odds of him becoming overwhelmed by his sensory disorder. #DONT JUDGE SOMEONE UNTIL YOU KNOW THEM!
