I like your rounded square sample in the melon color way. The variation with different size seed beads is great idea. Also why stop at a coaster; go for a placemat!

What is it you use in the end? After tying a knot?

Hi Britta. Allie used a thread burner to cut and cauterize the thread. You press the button on side and the tip heats up. You can burn the thread down close to the beadwork plus it gives it a slight nub making it less likely for your knot to come undone; therefore, making it better than just using scissors. Although scissors are just fine too. This one looks like a Thread Zap(name brand). They sell thread burners on their website.
