I dont recommend Dr Bronners for locs anymore as It causes Build up In my experience but test things for yourself and do what’s best for you

When you shower daily, you just wear a shower cap ? During this phase, water touched the hair only once a week ? Or you only washed washed once a week

I thought I was the only one who didn't like the smell of peppermint everybody always raving about how it smell so good I had to switch to the lavender one
@A11ON3
@A11ON3 5 жыл бұрын
Jeanetta Williams I like the smell of the lavender better but I like the feel of peppermint but the smell sucks. So I’ve used lavender oil afterwards just for smell purposes but I gotta get more.

Also. How u know the shampoo is non residue?
@A11ON3
@A11ON3 5 жыл бұрын
Tyrice most will say non residue or residue free. Sulfate free is best as well. If it’s not displayed just watch out for any products with synthetic fragrances or products that advertise softer hair, moisturizer(that’s unnatural, not like organic oils) or have ingredients that start with PEG or PPG. If you can just look up natural dreadlock rinses That way you can get the natural ingredients to create the shampoos etc for yourself. Probably what I’m about to start doing. Tbh

Do you separate your locs?
@A11ON3
@A11ON3 5 жыл бұрын
iMainx I didn’t for the first 6 months or so because I wanted them to form on their own. Now that they have I do but as minimally as possible, which I’ll stop doing once they’ve matured more.

I would love to Freeform, but If I freeformed I think I’d just have one big loc 😭 And even if I didn’t I don’t think my work would allow it, they’d definitely say it was “unprofessional” 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
@A11ON3
@A11ON3 3 жыл бұрын
I’d say separating your Locs is an option if you’d prefer them not to combine. I can’t give much input on the work situation😥 I’m just Hopeful that you’re elevated to an environment that accepts you for who you are as well as how you choose to be seen.

"Blonde" hair is a socially constructed epitome of femininity, beauty...yes, i get why its difficult to let go of ur own "blondeness," even though to achieve it certain parts of yourself had to die(dye) in the process...
@A11ON3
@A11ON3 5 жыл бұрын
M A it’s actually not difficult. I just desire to do what is right. The reason I wanted to cut it was because I don’t like that my being in any way has been manipulated. But I also have to take into consideration that it’s a part of my journey thus far and I have to accept all of what I’ve done and been through. And my hair now even the blonde is a representation of that. That’s the only thing that makes me feel the need to keep it, not what is socially acceptable by any means. It’s now a physical representation that the old me had to die in order to create my true self. 🤷🏽‍♀️
