I felt every word you just said ! I am almost 3 months in and I have felt it all..I felt ugly, vulnerable, weak, and when I went to work my manager literally looked me up and down and said “ your hair is big” and laughed..And I am continually pushing through and accepting that vulnerability and looking at myself in the mirror and loving the person staring back ! First of all you are gorgeous. I absolutely loooovvveeee your hair and I’m excited you’re joining the loc community. I might be wrong but I feel as though you were talking to yourself like you needed you to believe what you were say...like self acclamation, is that right? Cudos to you for being you’re own light and sharing this moment with us...thank you. I really needed to hear that today. Omg I felt like it was meant for me to see your video on my timeline!!💯 Cause today I was talking to my sis about this topic an I just started to sob, cause I’ve been locd for 2+ years now an I love my locs an as there helping me find my true self an help me to love my natural self..recently I just been struggling with doing that. For ex: my older brother (who I don’t talk to right now, an haven’t cause I blocked him from calling me an from all social media.) He kept saying an asking me to comb out my locs or get a new hair due...😒😔😤 an when I did he said that he would buy me a new outfit and some shoes from anywhere I want. An I’m like no I’m not gunna comb or change my hair. It took me over 2 years to get my hair to the length that it is at now!!!!💯👌🏾 Like are you kidding me???!!! So yea I’ve just been dealing with all that stuff from him..an also I’ve been bullied all my school life as well. An yea I’m grown af...going on 27 in December. So I have been going through a lot of ups an downs with having locs. But I’m going to continue to trust the process. Also ur pics are beautiful af!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰😍😍💯💕💕🔥🔥 I’ve been thinking lately that I wanna go freeform after 14 years from now..I’ll cut/comb out my locs and start all over again. I’ve been lead by Spirit to loc my hair. I was guided to Shiva jettas, with a 52 locs. I’ve been hesitant because I love my curly hair, which is a mixed of loose curls: Yesterday Spirit lead me to free form. So I’ve been binge watching other people’s journeys. But I still don’t know to get started. Do I wash my hair and just leave it hang out?
