The way you are missing the whole point of the show. It's not a tutorial for your 20s. Its showing you how messy life is, and sometimes we have to deal with the ebbs and flows of it all. It's not about feeling guilty or making yourself miserable over the choices that were already made. She will have to live with those mistakes, whats the point of them nagging her more about it making her feel worse?

@@rileyray96 They should "wake" her up. If I messed up repeatedly, I would expect my friends to be there to tell me I fucked up, not cuddle me and enable my whole self-destructive behaviour. She was missing her ex, so she slept with a married man, and what should we say, well done, baby girl..is she gonna own her mistakes or just swipe them under the carpet.

The least and the most that any partner deserves is honesty and respect which is just so opposite of cheating. I love Richard and Sutton, I REALLY REALLY DO but Sutton cheating on him isn't right. Even if Richard forgives her for that and they get back together, do you think a person can get past something like that? Does he deserve it or does anybody, for that matter, in the first place deserves to be cheated? It's unfair and will always be. It just doesn't fit. After all, cheating is a choice like everything else.

How is Jane a hypocrite?? She never cheated on any of her bfs nor did she agree with what Sutton did....Sutton knew what she did was wrong and was ashamed of it....I don't think Jana was supposed to chastise her at that point...also there is a huge difference between being in a relationship with someone who cheats and being friends with someone who cheats.....its the breaking of the trust more than the act of cheating itself which is why people break up .....in this show it was clearly shown that was the reason Jane broke up with Ryan...not because she thought Ryan was a bad person...and that's exactly what she told Sutton that one mistake will not make her a bad person....Jane knew she couldn't trust Ryan anymore....while Sutton never broke Jane's trust....and was a true friend to her always...so why would she break her special bond with Sutton....irl if that's the case you would end up having no true friends....also I am sure not one person in this comment section live up to their own high standards of morality

YEPPP exactly. people are saying the writers are bad, but they’ve followed the show up until now? obviously it’s okay to get upset by a characters actions, but the point of this episode is to show that everyone fucks up and sometimes their actions hurt others- her friends don’t support what she did but they are being gentle because they care and sutton already knows she fucked up!!

I am a big fan of this series from Thailand. Too bad the 5th season hasn't arrived for broadcast here yet. To be honest, as an Asian, I have had a strange feeling towards Sutton. For work, she is doing great and I admire her. But for her personal life, disregarded her past and age, she is so selfish and care only about herself, especially Richard, her mom yet Billy's family. But, that's what we learn from this series, isn't it? In addition, I learn a lot about gender liquidity from this series, helping me a lot to really know myself. I want the 5th seasonnn ^^ p.s. Love New York, wish I could be there someday :)

Listen, I love this show. But I also believe that at some points when the lead roles are doing the wrong, someone should criticize them. Sutton is setting a very wrong example for young women across the world. What do the girls mean? It's okay to sleep with someone and ruin their marriage while you are married to someone yourself. Is hurting and cheating people the new normal.
