Freehand Knife Sharpening with all Details

Hello my dear friends, I have prepared a knife sharpening video for you with all its details. This was a knife I made a few years ago. I use this knife in all my works in the workshop. I have published some scenes as they are without cutting them so that we can have a simultaneous view of the whole process. The agents I use in order are; Scotch for general cleaning, Diamond sharpening stone I bought from England and glass cleaning water on it, Pine turpentine oil on Cretan sharpening stone, Metal polishing paste on leather. Final; Celebration with cat assistant after the sharpness test. It is great to see you here as always. I wish you all a wonderful week.

That must be a custom made knife from the look of it, I like the wood, brass, steel combination of materials. You did an excellent job of sharpening and cleaning, knife looked great and sharp, I can tell because the QC kitty was most happy at the end. Thank you for video, enjoyed watching.

I always 'like' the video when it starts incase i forget later. Always great. Small editing blooper in this one i believe? Shot of going to the yoning stone too early then back to the diamond plate? Unless thats your process, then if so, whats the thinking behind it?

Around 3:15 goes from diamond plate. To then slow alternating strokes (that to my eye looks like final honing strokes to remove the final burr) then goes back to diamond. So I assumed it was editing, but I might be wrong. Enjoyed nonetheless like all your videos ❤ appreciate the camera work is half of the craft but it always looks effortless​@@byOldHand
