Top tip Matt: Dog hair comes out of carpet with rubber washing-up gloves. Works just as well as purpose-made tools - just drag the your gloved hand across the carpet and hoover up the ball of fur that collects. Use a little water on the gloves to stop them getting rug burn and ripping into holes. Source: I used to run my own mobile valeting/detailing service.

Great to have so many videos recently. I find that a steam cleaner is much better at removing window tint. Once you have started on a corner you can concentrate the steam on the area that you are peeling off right between the tint and the glass. You can usually take the whole thing off in one go.

Interesting video, Matt. Lovely to see the Hippo getting attention. By the time you are done, that will be a very neat job indeed. As an aside, I had people ask me what colour the interior of my 79 Ford Thunderbird was supposed to be. Beagle IS a colour, least wise in my lexicon

I too used SGS to get a new boot strut for my Volvo 960, however it still doesn't seem as strong as it should be. Much, much better than it was, but I still don't think it's perfect. I was going to see if the struts change over the next few weeks/uses.

No way I mentioned the heat gun being an essential part of my kit in the last barn video and you've only gone and bought one! I'd definetly get a bigger 4ah battery for the heat gun, particularly as you've got 4 D20 tools now. Your managing to make jobs look much easier with every tool you buy these days, at this rate of success that freelander will be concourse given another month🤣

Plastic tint removal.The longer its on the harder it is to come off. I found it easier to get off using her indoors's hair dryer at full blast. Top tip. Use a stuff called "sticky stuff remover" not a wynd up it is the actual name of the product. It's a liquid you apply it liberally to the residue and after 5 mins wait you rub/wipe it off. Job Done ,no hassle.👌
@tonys1636

Those jobs were booted into touch without any hassle. Often wondered why manufactures reverted back to stuck on screen heaters from the fine almost invisible wire in the glass ones, cost I imagine which was often passed on as an optional extra.

Tip for getting dog hair out of the carpets. Buy a dedicated brush which has rubber bristles, they are very effective and are available through various car detailing equipment suppliers. Also a stiff brush to use while vacuuming is useful.

I may not be correct, but it was my understanding that the boot strut was supposed to be that way, having to be opened half way before having to be pushed further for it to extend fully and that it was so that if you were parked against a wall or a car had parked close behind you and you wanted to open the boot it didn't swing wide open and smash into that wall / car. (Tbh it has certainly been useful to me in tight spaces even if I am wrong!) That new strut is certainly very powerful though! I can imagine that heat gun will absolutely demolish batteries too, heat generation consumes a heck of a lot of energy!

If you're fancying another light electronics challenge, it's fairly easy to run most cordless tools corded by using a cheap power supply and some convertors and adaptors. In a similar vein, I ended up using a car battery to run a hedge saw to great effect, until I accidentally cut the cord with my aggressive swiping.
