There is a rumor underground spring down there. Even my ex school teacher who was transferred there notice that the grass at the school field is always wet most of the time. There was also another rumor or conspiracy that certain politician that time was not keen on school with Christian name and school with missionary history. For one example, there was another school not far from the convent named King George V. The State Minister that time wanted to changed it's name but the former school student (ex-Georgian) protest against it. Convent however did not fare well, their excuse was the school was old and decrepit. So they then decided to move the school to a new location and so they did, but it was renamed. The old Convent school then was demolish. Funny thing they decided to build a mall with underground parking. But fate has it ways with corrupted people, they dig to deep and hit the underground spring. And until today they cannot dried it up despite several attempts to pump the water out. Let this be a lesson especially to corrupt politician.

Why do convent school alma matter stick together for life? I came from the only co ed convent in this country. We still keep in touch and organise gatherings although its been 30 over years since we left. Cant say the same for SK kids.

I think because the land is still privately owned, so the only way the government can realistically to redevelop it is to make it a government land by land acquisition, which requires compensation to the private land owner. Since maybe it requires so much money for the compensation, so the State government just become unwilling to entertain the idea of redeveloping it.

The land and school was owned by the Christian Missionary? They sold it a developer? KPM had to build new schools to cater for the former students? Some old town shops in Seremban were also demolised by their owners?
