Thanks for posting the Queen of the Night Aria🎶 from Mozart's, the Magic Flute! One of the best Operas ever written. The talent and breath control needed to perform this Aria convincingly, is like that of an Olympic or Professional Athlete! Many world class Sopranos have actually ruined their voices attempting to sing this particular Operatic Aria! It was a real treat to get to watch this masterfully done Operatic masterpiece!🌬🎼🎵🎶🎨🎭

Agreed - and this is an especially intense performance! I'm so glad that it wasn't hit by copyright. It's too good not to share.

When I was WM of the Peel Lodge No.209 UGLNSW&ACT, Tamworth, in 1987, my SW was Wor. Bro. Derek Taylor, unfortunately now deceased. He had come to Tamworth several years before to take up the position of Director of the Tamworth Conservatorium of Music. Major Taylor had been the Director of Music of the Welsh Guards and had been a member of the same Lodge at Windsor, as the Duke of Edinburgh. His wife, Margaret nee Eales had been a professional opera singer. He organised a production of the Magic Flute in the Tamworth Town Hall and the first performance was only for the Freemasons of the region and their families. He also organised for the Tamworth Clarinet Choir (the collective name of clarinetists) to give a recital in the Lodgeroom of all the pieces of music that Brother Mozart had composed especially to be be played in his Masonic Lodge in Vienna.

Thank you for that lovely piece of history Wor. Bro. Lynd. It must have been inspirational! I wonder if that type of thing still happens? I certainly haven't heard of it.

@@FromtheQuarries Unfortunately it does not happen often, although there have been a few organ recitals in recent years at Freemasons Hall in London. Also I have a video of the Tercentenary celebrations of UGLE, which features music and song. Incidentally I posted one of your videos (Hermes Trismegistus) on the Facebook page of Eugenius Philalethes College No.18 of SRIA, which meets in Brisbane. Unfortunately you have to be a member to view it. If you were interested the entry qualifications are Master Mason/Trinitarian Christian.

Congratulations- an excellent video!! Just one small thing…..his name is Sa-ra-stro. Sorry to be a pedant. Brilliant content & well thought through!!

Oh dear! I too consider myself to be quite the pedant - how embarrassing. After 50 years of listening to the Magic Flute I can’t believe I even said that (and even more that I didn’t notice myself doing it). Thanks for the feedback and for pointing it out.

I recommend you the new Magic Flute movie definition made by Mozart's brothers where the director ads thought that music is the true God's Wisdom and that's the main goal in spiritual quest. And the Movie's logo M means Mozart, Music, Magic, Mystic, Mathematic, Mastery and Mason.

The problem of understanding of that masterpiece is that philosophical ideas are really complex and dualistic. For example. Three good beautiful women serves Geckata/Queen of Magic. They advise protogonists to follow the three Gratias. Give them magic music guiding and protecting. But let's say it again: the dark goddes - empress of black magic gives her gifts. And the Magic Flute made by Gekata. So philosophical dualism, gnostical dualism mixes good and bad making the zingschpiel so hard to decode
