This song randomly was echoing in my head. Hadn't physically heard it in ages - so long ago that I had even forgotten Alanis sang it! A haunting melody ! Couldn't recall the exact lyrics. Searched my brain...googled it out.. 1.5hrs later I found it. SO WORTH IT.

Even as a 55 year old... I admit I LOVE Google and KZbin! I was searching for different versions of this particular song. Freemasons are responsible for me adding Beyoncé to my playlist/library (Ring the Alarm remix), not a fan of her vibrato. Before I found this mix with Alanis, I listened to Tzuke's vocals... she is simply not Alanis' caliber. SO HAPPY to have this version. THANKS GUYS!

I may be near to 70 now, but I can remember those dancin' years. I like this track, and Alanis Morisette is like a woman Jim Morrison. That is probably a water bottle she is tuggin' on onstage where with Jim, it would have been any kind of alcohol. So you youthfuls, enjoy all the possibilities you have. Yes, I sense the Bailey version fit the dance style, because she sing the way dance music have to. Here Alanis ups and downs free vocals are indeeed pleasant for otrer kind of more rock origins..is that simple for me to notice that. It will be the Freemasons white label mix. You don't have to clear samples in white labels. Alanis obviously wouldn't clear her voice for the commercial release so they had to rerecord the vocals. Happens with virtually every dance hit that samples an old tune.....

Ha ha! As I'm nearly thirty, I think I'm entering the phase where I can no longer be referred to as 'the youth of today'. I simply think this song is better with a beat behind it. A lot better actually. But that's just me. Beats don't improve just any song or piece. For example, Beethoven's 9th would be ruined if remixed as speed garage, that's obvious. But Alanis Morrisette is not Beethoven. She's a whining fool and the beats improve this song.

to be honest i would have prefered the voice of alanis in that remix .Till now the freemasons has produced one hit single after another , starting with Mesmerized from Faith Evans and so on till beyonce . But they always used the original vocals .They should have kept it like that , but it still is a good track for clubbing with some chicks or sensation white or something like that .

Real art? Look up lyrics to "Still", "Symptoms", "Joining you". Those lyrics are better than most of the other shit out there because it's poetic and with meaning, Not metaphor lacking club trash. I was looking for the original video from a song and stumbled on its remix. I didn't like it, but it received so many favorable comments, I thought I'd check out Rhianna's -Umbrella remixed because I liked the original so much I figured how bad could it be. It was awful. Ok, heres the thing...the original recording of this song is intended to have a sinister angry, haunting undertone...the repetitive annoying beat resonating behind Alanis' brilliant voice is insulting (to say the least) the music behind the original recording is meloncholy violins, angry electric guitars and a simple haunting piano melody. you've suceeded in raping and pillaging this song...some songs should be untouchable to club mixers..seriously.

I must say the vocal track takes away from the track. But I'm noticing that with all the high's on this track they bleed a bit, so it may be they adjusted to make up for the flaily vocal track. If they had decided to use their own vocalist and do it perfectly, it would sound different and not like Alanis;) Still, it is a good track!

a beat may or may not make it better, that's a matter of personal opinion I like the original better mainly because I hate how people try to come across as musically talented by taking 1 beat and pasting it on a classc song and done. Try to be creative for once, been there done that.
