Have u ever had you're adenoids removed , my son is 3 in a half and was just told by a specialist he has to have surgery to have his adenoids removed because he hardly sleeps and he's always waking up and snoring and sleeps with his mouth wide open and also can affect his speech and his learning and also has to have tubes put in his ears because of the blockage of ear wax build up this runs in his fathers family unfortunately and he is scheduled for July 5th 2022 to have surgery done for both.

I got both my tonsils and adenoids out 20 years when I was 7 because I had trouble breathing at night, trouble swallowing, and they kept getting infected. The pain lasted a few days (I did have to stay overnight in the hospital though because I have asthma) but after that I was fine Unfortunately, I think the adenoids are now growing back because I’ve been coughing up a lot of mucus, constant sore throat, and trouble breathing as well as swallowing as well as coughing at night again. I’m gonna get checked out soon I may or may not have to get another surgery but it is what it is

@@hyleenpognaire8134 oh I’m glad you don’t get them often anymore. Thanks for getting back to me. Did you have other symptoms before the surgery? What were they? Did they go away? (Such as congestion, speech/voice issues, the feeling of snot being stuck between node and throat all the time, etc.) I’m going through these symptoms and I’m wondering if the surgery helps (I’m currently scheduled for an adenoidectomy)
@hyleenpognaire8134
@hyleenpognaire8134 Жыл бұрын
@@KennyBucketz well i don't remember any specific problem being there... I was fairly good health-wise... Earliest i can remember it happened since I was 4-5 age... It was always a gamble like situation if bleeding will be there or not. It always felt wierd seeing blood pour out so much but there is not pain or prior warning/symptoms/problems... I was fed up with the iron taste of blood (had to put head face upwards to stop blood pouring down so it went through my mouth and inside food pipe)... It happnes sometimes if i poke my nose , bleeding starts, but many times didn't... Also during winter as i try to blow nose to clean (when cold occurs and nose is blocked) bleeding may start... Maybe 1 in 10 times if i do these, bleeding happens... When I was diagnosed they put a tube inside nose with camera and found adenoid gland and as in my case it was overgrown they cut it (i was 14 age). Now I'm 21, post surgery now bleeding is indeed rare , or maybe i don't poke my nose that much like a child... Tho I still take care to not disturb my nose aggressively. So no, i don't recall any symptoms having such before surgery i was fine, but i remember when I was finally diagnosed, doctor told us to remove adenoid otherwise it may grow more and future problems can occur like breathing or speech issues, whatever u said... Hope it helps, and goodluck for your health, i hope u will resolve any issue u have.
