I've just tried it, and it's not bad. The one thing I need for me to use it more often is a "Draw with Apple Pencil only" feature. Otherwise, I would take the free download in case it gets better

hey dear, click the plus icon in the toolbar then you can see the Use Apple Pencil option. Turning it on should solve your problem.

@@PaperlessX its not about rebooting the ipad, the issue i am having with collanote is that its paid now... when you are taking notes every few minutes a huge popup for subscription shows up on the whole screen, they also altered the brushes/pens i was used to and they made changing the color of the paper a paid function...it became so laggy when importing huge pdf files which i do a lot since i am a student... but as i said i am loving freenotes so far

Looks interesting and will try. Agree that having multiple toolbars looks confusing. Also ability to not resize an image or text after using the lasso tool doesn’t make sense. Thanks for this review-as always. 😊

Hello, thanks for your review . I am considering it to store my children’s homeschool work through the years. We have been using OneNote where I upload scans of their using the Rocketbook resusable notebook. I like that in this app it looks like it will be easier for me to move notes around and create sections. I like that my children will be able to easily draw on their notes vs OneNote where it doesn’t zoom in as well and sometime the edits don’t stay put on the scans. I also like that they can “turn the pages” vs one note the have to click to another page. I have one question, what is tape used for exactly? Is it decorative? Also I tried using and wrote something over it but it hid my text 😅 I might be using it wrong.

I just recently downloaded it. It's nice, but I've noticed that it lacks many functions, but the developers said to give suggestions in Instagram, and they're taking the suggestions into consideration and putting it in their list. I feel like some note-taking apps are better even, but I can’t wait to see how far they'll improve, so I'll stick to them while using some other note apps on the side😊.

Hi I use Freenotes on my iPad and I downloaded the app on my iPhone too may I ask how can I insert my notes from my iPad to my iPhone so I don’t have to bring my iPad with me everywhere to revise?

Heyyy You can view your notes across different Apple devices, just make sure you have iCloud backup enabled and are logged in with the same Apple ID on each device. Notes will sync automatically.

I have been using this app for a few days.Recently I have downloaded it and loved it, but while going through the reviews one of the comments i saw commenting that when he updated this app , 9.9$ was being asked for by the app despite the fact that on the app it is clearly mentioned ‘you can use it for free forever’ So now I am scared of loosing my notes which I made in this . Kindly clear my doubt regarding this , will this app charge in the future?😢

Most apps charge in the future. But if you opted for the free version you shouldn't have a problem. If it does, you might not necessarily lose your notes; only the ability to create new ones. That's what usually happens

They make it free for the first 6/7 month then add mandatory payment if you want to see your notes and keep using the app

@@Shiva-np9vr Yeah you probably could. But the right now “free” features will be paid. Many companies do this trick of initially publishing their app for free (so people download it) then add payments so the people that used this app for long are obliged to pay it.

Check within the app to see if you're a premium user. You will must have a golden crown at the bottom of the sidebar on the left. Sadly, we don't know what will happen to the app's pricing in the future. You can reach out to the developer for that.

I would not use it, even for free.. I appreciate the work behind the app, but it isn’t as comfortable as other note taking apps, but it seems to be fine if you want to take time and get use to it. But anyway… it is free (as for now) so I can’t really complain. It seems like they have copied 90% of the app from other apps. Like 1:1 copy. But it didn’t help the app to be as goos as them… good luck for the developer.
