Corporations don't pay taxes, people do. Corporations are only passthrough entities. All money flows from and to people, ultimately. If you want to raise taxes, do it only on individuals. When you tax corporations, that taxation is spread to every employee, investor, adjacent worker (e.g. factory builders, delivery people, truckers, etc). Don't be fooled by politicians into a hidden tax on people by saying they are taxing corporations. If you want to tax the rich.. or those CEOs you resent, do it directly as individual income taxes. Any economist who says to tax corporations is simply showing their total ignorance OR a political agenda that secretly hurts the poor.

I am Mexican born and raised, but as a young adult I lived in both China and the USA. I am well aware that China has already won, now I even work for a Chinese company in Mexico. And it frustrates me to see how the USA is adamant in villainizing and bullying Mexico, one of the USA’s most loyal allies in spite of a history of abuse and theft. I believe that Mexico is nearing a situation where we will switch sides and joint the BRICS. Why should we continue to rely on an unstable fascist economy led by a racist bully? And it does irritate me to see how the MAGA voters have allowed themselves to be led to see Mexico as a scapegoat, and hold a negative view of us when in fact Mexico is one of their few remaining friends. I say screw them. Mexico doesn’t need to tolerate a bully anymore, when there better and stronger alternatives in the new world order. I can see it in my neighborhood where about 20% of my neighbors are American “digital nomads” (a.k.a. Immigrants) who live it here and are not planning to go back because life is good in Mexico. Money goes a long way. Mexico City is safer and less afflicted by drugs than most cities in the USA (yes, even if you practice denial, it is true). The tables have turned and Americans will pay dearly for their lack of gratitude and camaraderie. It didn’t have to be like this. This global downturn could have long-lasting repercussions. And the most ironic part is that the US has a small enough population relative to GDP that all of its citizens can have a comfortable life, with security, healthcare, and a rising standard of living, if we just addressed our staggering inequality!! The problem is the people at the top control the government, business and the media. And they would rather destroy this country than give up any of their wealth or power.

@@rodoquinn Not sure if you got my point. Increasing the MW will shift everything up (including the salary for higher paying jobs) and end result will be inflation. So minimum wage guy will always be on the bottom as minimum. Now if they could limit the maximum wage and not allowing it to go up when they raise the MW that would equalize a little bit. Of course I'm being sarcastic and you can't put a limit on max wage. There are better ways to assist poor people who are working full time and can't make the ends instead of simply increase the min wage. Discounted bus and train passes, rent and food assistance. And other ways that wouldn't cause too much inflation. But this money obviously shouldn't come by printing money (which happened during pandemic). Only by taxing the rich and upper class a little more.

The Berlin Conference took place from November 15, 1884 to February 26, 1885, in which Africa was divided among the European powers. Without one African present and without consulting the African people. Thus without their consent. This is called colonization. The same goes for other people to decide over the territory of Palestine without the consent of the people, as in 1917 by the British Crown, is called colonization. The International Community (UN) does not have the right to constitute a new state (Israel) on other peoples land. (Palestine). This follows from the one page November 2nd 1917 Balfour Declaration on behalf of the British Crown.

Palestine came into existence at the same time as Israel. It was previously the Ottoman empire.
@Grayson-om5hk19 күн бұрын
It was the Ottoman Empire in which Palestinians (and Jews, Arabs, etc...) lived. The Ottoman Empire joined with Germany in WW1 and lost in a world war they would've been smarter to stay out of.. The Empire was dissolved, and the current borders, from Israel to Iran, Turkey, Syria, etc... we're drawn. Israel's borders are as legitimate as those of every other Middle Eastern nation. There are ramifications for war. The ramifications for the Ottoman Empire were that it ceased to exist. And throughout, there has never been a Palestinian state. Is this not true?
@JohnBeerschoten19 күн бұрын
@@Grayson-om5hk Your attitude is good. Most of it is true, but it is not entirely true. Israel has no borders and Israel has no constitution. Many experts also argue that Israel has no legitimacy because Israel refuses to implement Resolution 181, which even allowed Israel to exist as a state. Resolution 181 is there for everyone to read. The Ottoman Empire was relevant and then the British Empire became more relevant. The British Empire had a mandate over the territory of Palestine, which should not be confused with 'ownership'. A mandate refers to administrative law. In this context it is good to read the one-page Balfour Declaration of November 2, 1917 and the conditions therein. You are on your way to a clear and scientifically defensible understanding of the situation.
@JohnBeerschoten19 күн бұрын
@@Wildcosima No, that is not correct. Palestine has never been part of an Empire, it has only been a part under administrative law like under Roman Law. A mandate does not imply 'ownership'. Meaning the name of the territory is not changed. There is no law that makes it possible to declare a foreign territory as lawfully one's own territory.
