Anybody still wearing their Stack watch? I bought it even though I have Mnemonica memorized (using Derren Brown's method) and I still wear it as my main daily wear watch. It's a conversation starter, 'cos people can see there is something unusual about it, even if they don't know what it is. The majority of people don't know how cards work, or how card cheating works, so I tell them that it is a poker "card counting" device, demonstrate how I can use it to count to a specific card, then segway to a card trick where ironically I avoid touching or referencing the watch entirely. It works because everyone's heard of card counting, but not many people know what it is. Then I demonstrate it, forgetting to actually use it. I have a collection of higher end watches, but STACK is literally my favourite one because of the incredible reactions I can invoke with it just being nearby. My friends even assume it's just one of several that I have, so it's never suspected. Peter Turner is one of the modern day thinkers in mentalism. Get his videos, too. And his kits. Nothing comes close.

I once performed Bob Cassidy's calendar trick, I asked the lady the significance of the date she chose, she said it was a loved ones birthdate I then BOLDLY asked if 2 ppl in her family share the same name , she said 2 ppl in my family share the same birthday, which ironically was the date she picked for the trick. This HIT brought her to tears. You can make a simple trick into an emotional connection just by being bold.
