@Daniel Neville Better than who? Davis? Hendry? I dunno. Maybe. But he actually lost because his bum twitched. Even Hendry said so in an interview. And when he mentioned that fact to Jimmy White himself, he refused to accept it. But it's true. Jimmy was a fantastic player. One of the most gifted ever but he couldn't handle the biggest snooker event of them all. Really sad😟

Its a shame Jimmy never quite had the stamina to make it across the finish line in championship finals , but when you watch this you understand why Jimmy White is still revered in the game of snooker. Very very few players could emulate some of the shots he played because they are basically shots which cant really be practiced. It was down to sheer natural ability !!

Richard Ignatowicz Remember that game well, was a big Jimmy White fan. Absolutely gutted. I've always suspected that Jimmy was coked up to his eyeballs in that game and then he crashed. Hendry relentlessly won frame after frame and Jimmy was shattered. I'd have loved Jimmy to win the world championship, such a brilliant player, exciting, attacking and full of flair. Wasn't to be.
@adamlea63397 жыл бұрын
I recall an even worse case when it came down to the final frame, and Jimmy missed a straightforward black (probably due to tension), then Hendry came to the table and cleared up to win 18-17. That was the closest he got to the title
