What do you get from having power as GLA? I thought GLA buildings dont need power?

They don't. But when you get power it acts as if you've gone from low power to regular so your production times cut in half. As if regular GLA production times are "low power." It seems like a bug, but everyone is fine with it, so if you can steal power as GLA and you have the income to support it you can out produce anyone.

@@OneSybert I don't think it's a bug, just a result of how things were coded. The base power and production code was probably used for all armies because you don't want duplicate code. They probably didn't add an exception for GLA.

while I know the Battlemaster can be slow af, but I think it would have been a good counter to have been mixed in with the GATS, and it's ironic that the China Tank Commander didn't even touch them. It's very Evolution manner of htinking rather than Zero Hour, but that's just my perspective, I could be wrong. Good game though.

The fully upgraded battlemaster slaughtered a dragon tank, they looked to be very useful to perc so I agree, under utilised

There are several reasons you don't always see Battlemasters from Tank vs Stealth. 1. Stealth can't make tanks either, Gats+Dragons are better than Quads, especially with Chainguns upgrade. 2. Vet2 Battlemasters give off A LOT more xp when killed. 3. Battlemasters are very slow, on big open maps like this one they aren't very practical. On smaller more linear maps they're often the better choice though.

The stealth guy flopped it so bad. You cant fight gats with quads, when he got the palace, he shouldve transitioned to buggies. Buggies also outranges the dragon tanks and tank gen wouldve a hard time chasing those as they are really mobile units.

Didn't seem like the stealth player really utilized the stealth aspect of his faction. Apart from the early dozer hijack, the only stealth stuff were the stealth tunnel networks and the GPS Scrambler (which vanilla GLA also has). I expected a lot more hijackers and cloaked buildings, especially since the opponent hardly built any listening outposts. They also could have retrieved all those sniped tanks with stealth rebels.

Yeah just steer your trucks across þe map to grab some ressources, þat should belong to your opponent. Freestyle is on _savage mode_ here.

In most cases, they are not. China tank is one exception and GLA players will build some scorpions, but generally humvees, gats, and quads are a better place to spend your money.

With that amount of Quad Cannons on the field, it does seem Battlemasters would've been a better counter.

@@OneSybert Thanks. But why do those tanks exist at all then? The main battle tanks are way worse against infantry then the machine gun units

Battlemasters at vet2 give away loads of experience towards generals powers. Once the GLA gets the cash bounty it gets much more difficult for the China. Also battlemasters are the slowest unit in the game.

Not enough mobility. MBTs in vanilla Generals/ZH are pretty much missile infantry/aircraft fodder. And they're too expensive for that. The Rise of the Reds mod makes MBTs viable, but it's barely ever featured on this channel.

GLA is considered to be low power, which means half the production speed. To compensate they have twice the production speed of USA and China. This means if they do get power they end up with twice the production speed they should have.

Dude china tank general was not playing the zero hour version well at all. Could have easily won with a different unit comp. I don’t understand just running gats and flamers

The unit combo is good because Stealth cannot make tanks either, Gatts+Dragons are better than Quads. Battlemasters are better on smaller more linear maps, but are too slow on bigger open maps like this one. Also Vet2 Battlemasters give off A LOT xp.
