Freestylers Recreate Dark's Highlight Reel in Rocket League

There's a new prodigy in Rocket League and he's unbelievable. To see just how good his mechanics are, I had freestylers recreate his most famous shots. Let's see if it's possible.

An important thing to note is that dark does this with 100 or less boost whereas the freestylers get unlimited lmao

It's good compensation since the freestylers are playing one sided horse against someone that gets to use their best shots ever scored. Also it's good to note that the freestylers are *freestylers*, not comp players, they have very varied skills and practice from someone like dark. If you practice painting and never practice drawing with a pencil, of course you're going to have a hard time drawing as good as someone that does. Even if they have the skills and artistic knowledge to paint. It will only help so far. It is very impressive from dark none the less. The freestylers are just getting a very poor chance to show off their skills lol. It would be more interesting to have other comp players similar to dark (in the freestyle seen they are call CCH's (Comp Clip Hitters)). With people like Evample and Henkovic being probably the most well known.

@@devo5234 Bah personally I just believe that as a freestyler they should be able to maintain the consistency, speed and boost management as Dark lol. Ive seen freestylers hit insane clips but the fact that nearly every time I watch Dark he blows my mind, all while being defended in both ranked & rlcs is pretty insane. Not a single freestyler in this vid recreated one of Darks shot to anywhere near the same level, all with unlimited boost and no defence 👀

@@FishingOD_OFFICIAL A freestylers goal is not to be a comp player... Their skills are going to lie in totally different fields. This video could have gone either way, Dark tries scoring freestylers best goals first try, and he would probably only score 1 out of 10 or maybe none, and it's not because Dark isn't skilled, it's because he doesn't practice the mechanics and shots that the freestylers do. By no means am I saying Darks shots aren't mind blowing at times. It's the fact that people think recreating is easy :_:. When in fact recreating is probably the hardest way to go for a shot. Dark wasn't planning on going for the shots that he did before he went for them, he started his attempt and did what made the most sense. Dark wouldn't hit these shots first try or make them look the exact same or be as good if he did, and even IF he did it's because it's his literal playstyle and skill set to go for the shots he does. THe freestylers are free to practice helis for 2k hours and hit 20 in a row, that doesn't mean they suck because they never practiced a rapid reset or learned how to freestyle in comp. (which alters what they go for and what they would practice).

I merely paraphrased what striped said in the vid, which led me to believe he was very biased towards maktuf, because in that one shot, jaxxo did 100% the best job and should've gotten a 10 imo. But in the end it didn't matter, cause maktuf locked in and just smoked everyone anyway, so bias or no bias, maktuf would've won regardless

Henkovic does it better than dark in ranked matches, and he's also ssl. Half of these clips was doing dark's "lazy" era when he told feer he got bored of comp, and he started freestlying on 1300 lobbies or cas. Its easier to do a "harder" shot than to recreate them.
