Width comparisons are always good when it comes to these shoes
@sonsofsever
@sonsofsever 6 ай бұрын
They're as wide as Splay, Be Lenka, and the widest stuff from Lems. They're wider than FeelGrounds, and anything we've tried from Xero or Vivo.

Freet offers a thicker 6mm insole. I buy those for all my freet shoes and they transform these shoes into super comfortable shoes. I highly recommend the 6mm insoles, it’s night and day comfort wise.

hi! how do these feel in comparison to vivo primus iii in regards to ground feel? in the video you mention they are very minimal but I would like the comparison, the vivos toe taper absolutely kills my pinkie toe and I am hoping freet will be the answer but would prefer if they had similar ground feel
@sonsofsever
@sonsofsever 4 ай бұрын
Unfortunately we have very little experience with Vivos. As long as the stack heights are pretty similar though, the ground feel will also be similar. The Freet have a ton of ground feel, I can't imagine they'd be much different than any comparable Vivo model.

@@DeePat-gd5so we don't do sponsorships, but yeah, so far Vivo hasn't answered to us reaching out. We just bought our first pairs though, so we'll have a review this fall/winter of some boots.

Thanks for these reviews, they’re extremely helpful. Quick question: would you recommend the Freet Vibe over the Lems Primal 2? (Currently using Vivo Trail FG ~5.5mm stack height). I’m looking for a shoe with a moderate stack height that would be a bit more comfortable for road running and jump roping. My one foot is flatter than the other, and I always have to end workouts early due to arch pain.
@sonsofsever
@sonsofsever 6 ай бұрын
While I do think the Primal 3 (the 2 is selling out fast and going away for good!) would be a good option if you're looking for a little more stack height and under foot comfort, I don't think they'll last as long as the Vibe if you're using them athletically, specifically when it comes to outsole durability. On the other hand, the Vibe has a stack height similar to your Vivos, so there's the problem there. If you're looking for a little more stack height but you want a shoe that'll last a bit longer, I'd look at the Bahe Revive (around 10mm) or the Topo Athletic ST-5 (14mm).

What you recommend as a barefoot transition shoe?
@sonsofsever
@sonsofsever 21 күн бұрын
@@DeePat-gd5so The Lems Primal Zen. A bit more stack height and under-foot comfort, but still really light and flexible, it's zero drop and cool looking, it's an awesome first barefoot shoe.
@DeePat-gd5so
@DeePat-gd5so 21 күн бұрын
@@sonsofsever thank you for the response! Why the lems primal zen as a barefoot transition shoe over lems primal 3? The website says zen is more relaxed at the heel and primal 3 more snug as heel. I have had issues with heel slippage, i think i have narrow heels.
@sonsofsever
@sonsofsever 20 күн бұрын
@@DeePat-gd5so overall I've just enjoyed the Zen more. The air mesh model specifically is a little more rugged in the toe and heel, but, they are very similar shoes to the Primal 3 I haven't noticed a big difference in the heel between the two myself, but I have wide heels it seems. I'd trust the website and I think you'd be happy with the Primal 3.

What kind of court are you playing on? I don't know how well it would do on like a wood court, but like a standard tennis court I could see it gripping well on.

I don't have this particular Freet shoe, however I have another model and one thing that stands out from the Splay is that there is no seam and they have more volume. So, the Freet tends to feel wider to me whether or not it is. That being said, Freet offers many models so they can differ.

Why do "healthy" materials matter on the shoe? You're wearing socks anyway you're never in contact with them. Not to mention that even natural materials can have artificial dye and glue on them. Not that it matters if you're wearing socks.
@sonsofsever
@sonsofsever 6 ай бұрын
We mentioned this a little bit in the video, but it’s ideal to have more natural materials, not required (for some people it is required). And the chemicals that leach out of your shoes when your feet are hot and sweaty 100% leach through socks. When it comes to dyes and glues, that’s definitely a place where we think companies SHOULD try to be as responsible as they can be integrating healthier materials for those applications. These are our opinions 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s a consideration to be made
@mamabear9389
@mamabear9389 5 ай бұрын
I prefer healthy shoe materials also, however IMO healthy socks are more important and often the toxicity of socks is overlooked. If sweating profusely, some of the shoe chemicals could possibly leach through the socks, however I would think some intense sweating would have to occur for that to happen. If socks are unhealthy, you are definitely going to absorb some chemicals. I love Freet shoes because they fit me better than any other brand I have tried.
