These are the shoes I'm currently wearing and despite being the best ones I've tried yet they still lack a bit of stack height for shock absorption for sudden runs or big jumps. I could go for Altra but what I dislike about them is that they're not really 0 drop, and unlike with the Lems Primal Zen, the tip of the shoe goes up making them less stable. Does anyone know if there are other options for a well cushioned zero drop large toebox shoe out there? I'll try the Bahé Revive soon but I'm not holding high expectations since 14mm is actually less than the Lems primal zen's.

@@Hankyuo look into Topo Athletic or Flux footwear, I don't think Topo has as much toe spring as Altra does in general but they do feel like they have some arch support which can annoy some people. We haven't been able to try Flux but they look like they have quite a bit of toe spring which is what it sounds like you don't like about Altra, but both Topo and Flux focus on wide toe boxes, zero to minimal drop, and thicker stack heights

You guys say that the bottom of this shoe is sturdy and thick enough to protect you from rocks while the website talk about a 4mm sole and keeps mentioning "barefoot", how are these things compatible?
@sonsofsever
@sonsofsever 10 сағат бұрын
@@Hankyuo the lugs are another 4mm, plus the insole has gotta be at least 4mm, the website doesn't say though, but I'd guess you're looking at at least 12mm all together. We've been wearing a lot of Feelgrounds, Splay, and even other Be Lenka shoes all summer that are less than that, which is probably part of why they feel so thick to us.

I recently tried them. I really like the look and the toe box and they are soft and comfortable. However, the lacing system doesn’t work for me. I have narrow heels and ankles and need to pull the lacing pretty tight to secure my heels. With traditional lacing I can tighten around the ankles but keep it loose at the forefoot, not with this kind of lacing. I also tried the Wanderer because they have the same soles but with traditional lacing. Wanderer feel great and secured, but the thick fabric bunches up and pressed on my feet when bent. Eventually I got Vivo Magna Lite WR instead. I did sacrifice some toe splay room, but I really like how light and soft Magna Lite are. The water resistant is a big plus too.

I've got my first pair of Earth Runner Circadians with the Adventure Laces (the hard ones) about 10 days ago, I've had them pretty much glued to my feet since, we're currently under extremely strong heat in Spain, and cannot wear closed shoes... even if my Vivobarefoot Addis are pretty breathable For the first few days, they were a bit rough in between my toes, and the canvas was eating up the skin at the bottom of the heel a little bit more than any other sandal I've used before, after 5 or so days, and taking the sandals by the water, they have fully broken in, and now I can use them the whole day long without any pain or discomfort. The single adjustment I need to make, is that when wet, the material on the laces shrinks and softens a bit, and to keep the sandals tight, I need to tighten the strap a little bit, otherwise they become a bit loose, which, while I don't mind because they don't come off, I prefer having them snug. They have been an absolutely great purchase, and cannot be happier with them so far!

I haven't found a pair of huarache sandals that I can keep on my feet. The heel strap always slides down, no matter how they are adjusted. Now, I haven't tried these so I can't say for sure that they won't work but I have two pair of homemade huaraches and have the same issue with those as well, lol. I've been wearing Earth Runners for four years and, of course, I love them. In all that time, I've never had the buckle come undone on its own. And, those strap contact points on the bottom have held up fine. The material is tougher than you think and the weight of your body/foot is minimal at those points. The key to strap comfort is breaking them in slowly and following the tips the company suggests. It may take some patience. Well worth it!
