Thanks for watching. We are an all volunteer public access television production crew. None of us have ever had any formal video training of any sort. Your compliment is much appreciated. If you want to see Chris play near you let your local club owners and promoters know. Maybe somebody could book him for Sturgis Bike Week. It seems like a natural to me.

Thanks for watching. I'd sure like to video some more of his shows. In Cincinnati, we just showed up with a couple cameras and some mics and cords. I asked if we could tape and he graciously approved. This was my 6th taping of Chris, but first with something other than a cheap consumer camcorder. Now that I know how, I really want to shoot him with a tricaster, 4 cameras and a photographer. With about 2-3 days of b roll shooting, I know I could come up with something really cool.

A buddy of mine called me up one night and asked if I had ever listened to Chris Knight. I hadn't, but since then I do just about every day. Had the opportunity to see him play in Omaha Nebraska. Wasn't a big crowd but it was a great show. I had the privilege to meet him and talk with him..... My 6 year old knows a couple of his songs as well.....

How was there not thousands of people in the crowd man. Wtf. Chris is one of the best
@freetickeys Жыл бұрын
I've seen Chris 10 times or more. I've never seen thousands at any of his shows. More like an average crowd of 200 max. I seen Logan Halstead (A Man's Gotta Eat) a few days ago. 50 people were there. Jake Kohn (Frostbite) played a house concert in nearby Covington a couple weeks ago for 15 people. There's a lot of great music out there going virtually unnoticed. I wish more people found the value of supporting live music and the venues that make it possible.

Thanks for watching. It was great to see Chris finally play Cincinnati. He opened for Jr. Brown at the Southgate House (R.I.P.) in Newport, Ky. in 1997 but I don't know of him ever playing the 'big city" previously. In February 2013, he played to a nice crowd at the Taft Theater Ballroom, so maybe, Cincinnati will be a part of his future tours. Were you in the video?

Thanks for watching. It is a great song. It's originally from Chris Knight's 2006 cd "Enough Rope". Gary Nicholson produced the cd and is credited on the liner notes with co-writing the song with Chris Knight. CCR released their "Mission California" cd, which included "Cry Lonely, in October 2007.

I agree with you on Michael. However, the only current band member left from this group is Chris Clark. Mike has been working part time in construction for the last couple years. He's also trying to finish a new album, "Tremolo".

I seen him 3 weeks ago. Justin Wells opened and owned the crowd. When Chris came out his band sucked. His bass player looked like a statue. The new guitar player looked afraid to play. It was a mess! His voice seemed spent. Half the crowd of 300 was gone halfway through his set. This was the first time I felt sorry for the guy. It was also the first time I seen him when he didn't do an encore. I've been a fan for a long time. I think I have 7 CK shows posted here on KZbin going back almost 15 years. It was prolly my last time to see him. I wish him well.

Just saw him in Amarillo two days ago, and he did this song. All musicians except the guitarist to his left in the black shirt were still with him. Says a lot about someone when people stick with you.

Chris Knight is a great singer/ songwriter. However, locally he gets very little airplay and even less support. It's no wonder no one was there. I was lucky to find out about the show myself. There were a few people who found out about the show from a post I added to his webpage, some who came with me or at my urging and a contingent of the homeless. His new cd, "Little Victories", features a duet with John Prine. Maybe it will get him some new fans and excite his small but fervent fan base.

It was just about the end of the line for this incarnation of his "full band". The drummer was soon gone. Now, Michael McAdams and Drake Leonard are gone, too. I've been a long time fan. I have taped 7 of his shows and shared most of it here on KZbin. I believe his songwriting is still strong. LeeAnn Womack's version of his "Send It On Down" proves he's still got that covered. However, his recent live shows haven't been up to par and I don't believe a lot of live touring is in his future. Last time I seen him, half the crowd was gone 2/3 through the show. It was the first time I saw him when he didn't do an encore. It was sad. Chris Clark tries valiantly to pick up the slack, now, but between odd new band members and Chris's diminishing vocal abilities it makes for one sadly dull show. I never thought I'd say that. I agree he is a top 10 Americana songwriter. I'm just happy I traveled all over the state 10-15 years ago recording him when he was the shit! I wish I could have done a better job.
