Chris is my age and I reckon we've been at it about as long as each other. I couldn't do the road anymore. Two nights in a row is my limit these days around home without two off. My hats off to him. The road's a tougher life than people think. And I was just an opening act for headliners as a Skynyrd tribute band playing with my nephews 10yrs younger than me as singer/lead guitar. It's a young mans living. That voice to me is "truth". I can tell he's lived some of his songs. Plain and simple. 👍🎸

I have that same t shirt that Chris is wearing. It’s a 95.3 The Range shirt from north Dallas Texas from way back when it was a great radio station. Nowadays The Range is a joke, playing pop country garbage. Still I’m glad it was a great station to listen to 20 years ago. I discovered some true and great country music talent from listening to it.
@freetickeys2 жыл бұрын
Our local great station was WNKU. Northern Kentucky University sold the station and it now plays gospel music and not the kind of gospel I listen to. So, I know you're pain. I had to beg stations to play his music. Now their websites use this video to promote his local shows. Go figure!
@joshjones65362 жыл бұрын
@@freetickeys the Range 95.3 back in the day was so different and so much better. They played all the old country from before the outlaw country came along, outlaw country and a lot of up and coming artists at the time the most main stream/pop country fans didn’t know about. Artists like Chris Knight, Robert Earl Keen Jr., Ray Wylie Hubbard, Leftover Salmon, Billy Joe Shaver, Todd Snider, Hank Williams III, Jack Ingram, Junior Brown, I could go on and on. I used to have all my favorite heavy metal bands stickers on my trucks’ back window with a Range sticker right in the middle of it. I think the only parts which are true is the parts about being on a boat, drinking and fishing. This song, like a lot of his music, is a character study. Nothing more.
