Thanks again Andrew - I have been reading some historical fiction that is centered around a character who is a free person of color. I was not aware that Museum existed ! As far as City Park goes, I think the art Museum there is vastly under-rated. & WWOZ is awesome... I use the RTA pass usually a day or two. Also you can take the bus out Tchoupitoulas and there are a couple of very good breweries (NOLA and Miel, & NOLA has pretty good pizza by the slice) right near the bus stop. I will often do that, then hike over to Magazine (Maybe 6 blocks) and go which ever way. Also, carrying a small string bag not dissimilar to what Andrew is carrying is a great idea. I always hit a Rouses Market for snacks, water etc. when I first arrive & carry some w/me, so I don't have to go looking later.

This really is a great itinerary but I simply can't spend just one day in NOLA. It's like trying to spend just one day in New York or London but it definitely should feel much less rushed. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I am particularly interested in seeing where the Upstairs Lounge's tragic fire took place and hearing about it. Is there someone there who can give a tour or commentary on this site?

Pardon me but you cannot see it all in a month.

Completely agree with you John. But it is for those with time constraint. This video will help them out to see the most of this city in less amount of time.

If you are a customer of Bank of America…. You are kinda screwed. They have Whitney bank. HOWEVER, if you go into any Rouses market they will give you cash back at no charge with purchase. Whitney bank charged me $4 / transaction. But that was years ago. It’s probably more now.

I thank I'll jist sit in mah trailer n' wotch 'merkin idol' instid. (Of course NONE of the judges & 90% of the acts on 'merkin idol' are actually 'American.') The utter STUPIDITY!

I will be going to New Orleans in two weeks. I’m a double amputee, confined to a wheel chair. New Orleans is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the world, yet the New Orleans taxi drivers refuse to accept people in wheel chairs. Are you people trying to drive tourist away? The bus system that will handle wheelchair people, has a schedule that is a complete joke. To me, New Orleans is fast becoming a pathetic joke!
