In this clip, Freeway Ricky shared his thoughts on the skills needed to run a business, and he pointed out that a lot of people don't think stealing from themselves is that big of a deal. He explained that if you have to take money from your business for personal expenses, you didn't have that money to spend in the first place. Freeway Ricky went on to speak about not believing that people want financial advice since he sees some low attendance at some of the talks that he's done. He then added that he left prison with $200, and he's working on a building that could make him $6 million a month. Being good at business is a talent. Freeway Rick would have been that Fortune 500 guy had he had the right opportunities. He fell into that athlete trap where he had a talent for playing tennis and that was going to be his ticket but for being illiterate. The fact that he taught himself how to read and then learned how to formulate a legal argument and understand legal procedure to move the needle and get himself out is a testament that this guy has a fire inside him that most of us do not have. This is the kind of guy that no matter where he lands he will find a way to come out on top. Don’t short change him his glory.
