@andystoybox1723 I just picked one up used. Do you have any modifications to landing gear or EDF motors?

@@robertstoner728 only mod I did to landing gear was i added brakes .. as for the edf I used xfly 80mm 2200 kv has great power but flight times are short 😞 I haven’t tried running 6s 5000 yet only 4500..

@@KB_RC yeah 10 or more channels would be the best bet I couldn’t program as3x or safe because I ran out of channels , and I am using the nx10 I needed two more channels this is my set up right now .. 1-throttle 2-tailerons 3-elevator 4-rudder 5-gear 6-flaps 7-wing sweep 8- Y-harness connected to wing ailerons with a mix to deactivate wing ailerons when wings are swept 9-brakes if you are using 10- after burner light

Yeah NX8 wouldn’t work 😆… I was literally looking at IX14’s right when you wrote back to me 🤣… Nahhh he’s not spending nearly that much on me for Christmas… I always have to help pay for like half the airplane when I get one for Christmas. I’m getting a pair of BOSE headsets that I’m gonna be using for real flying! So that’s the extra gift I’m getting. IX14 will be the next controller I get…. But probably not for a while. So I’ll be buying a plane that only needs 8 channels or less for Christmas possibly as a present to myself 😉… I’m also buying slime lights for the F-22!

Very nice flying, and good landing for this F-14. Another question, more of an odd comparison. If you have an idea, how does, or do you suppose this F-14 Tomcat 64mm handles in comparison to the Freewing JAS-39 Gripen?

@@davidgerlach1132 this one is a twin 80mm edf I have never flown the jas 39 gripen , I would think the difference would be in weight .. this one you need to keep some throttle in when landing it

Now that I have mine (currently the “A” model with “TF-30 engines” at 1650kv) planning to upgrade to the “B” model with 2150kv upgrade EDFs with 100a ESCs. Definitely need the power for the 14lb jet.

@@andystoybox1723 yes, I already noticed that part but, for example, I found on RC castle a package which comes with the wheels and brake/steering gyro all together and I’m not sure if you had a different set of wheels or that set is exactly what you bought, if you can send me that part number it will be great

@@rruades99 they fit good on stock retracts, no mods needed.. only thing you need to do is make a small hole to route wires , and then add some small tie wraps on the the gear to hold wire 👍🏻

I needed to put a nosegear gyro in my rapter because for some reason only when i landed it would veer off to one side,

She flies amazing ! I can’t believe how good she flys I was nervous because of how heavy she is about 15 pounds with the batteries.. I added brakes and it was recommended to me by my buddy that I also get the anti slip steering gyro it helps equalize the braking so it brakes evenly, and it keeps you plane strait on take off .. I was really impressed on how good it worked … only down fall is you get a slower turning reaction when you need to turn quick

I have not really gotten into the esc’s with thrust reverse🤔 but it sounds like it could be an option 🤔.. The brakes do add some weight to the plane .. you might have something there 👍🏻👍🏻

@@andystoybox1723 for next plane buy ZTW esc It’s less expensive than other brand and working perfectly Keep your mind with thrust reverse you can have strong brake and backwards as well also no extra weight to plane but with brake you won’t have those and need pay extra money

I don't know what they cost but I do know that they cost a hell of a lot more than it $100 and only a freaking moron would bulk and another $100 expenditure after spending that much already
