I find that putting the meat in the freezer overnight first, helps to keep the shape when you put it in your vacuum bags. I also when I take it out cut a corner off so it does all the liquid doesn't get sucked out of the meat. You can put the marinade in with the meat but again you need to freeze it first then put it in your vacuum seal bags. You can freeze liquids by using the same method put it in a dish freeze it and then put it in vacuum seal bag and it's solid state works for me!

I am not an expert at freezing meats and I've never done that particular thing... but I would keep it in the fridge according to the expiration of your meat! Thanks for the video! Question- when you write how many days you have left to eat it after thawing, how do you know how long you have left to eat it? If the chicken had a sell by date of 11/2/21 for example and i froze it on 10/31 would you say 4 days? And What if i cooked the chicken on 10/31 it then froze it on 10/31? Same thing?
@CharlaniEveryday3 жыл бұрын
If the chicken had sell by of 11/2 and I froze on 10/31... I would make it within 3 days of thawing. I look at it like I'm "pausing the spoil time" if that makes sense. And same thing with the cooked... I would think about how long "leftovers" for that meal would normally last, and that's how long I'd have to eat it after thawing. I hope that makes sense!

@@CharlaniEveryday ok, so from all the videos I’ve watched and from your answer- it seems pretty common to have the liquids get sucked out of the bag into the vacuum sealer. When I put it in my bag the meat is red after I take it out the freezer my meat be dark is that normal? Can I still eat it?
@CharlaniEveryday2 жыл бұрын
There is usually some browning. BUT IM NOT A MEAT EXPERT 😅 This answer is subjective and you have to make your own decision on if it’s still good enough to eat. I have found that if I’ve sealed the meat correctly and while it’s still fresh, and if I thaw it within a couple of months, we have always been good to go. ☑️ But again…. it’s subjective. You’ll have to decide if it’s still good 😎

Bulgur wheat 2 years, cracked wheat 3 months. Buy a grain grinder and bake your own bread. Soft grains (barley, guinos, rye and grits)will last 8 years. Cool and dry. So to answer your question. Yes it is possible to spend a $1000 per month on food and dry goods. If you eat out, the costs are always higher.

You are not taking the safety guidelines of hygiene 🤦♀️ You should never handle the meat and the bags and the machine at the same time; and you continues to do the same thing with the different types of products you are packing. Use gloves to handle food and when you have everything properly in the bags remove the gloves or replace them with new ones and handle the machine. Voilà ; common sense🤷♀️
