Because of the Atlantic Glof Current we often have very mild winters - when the wind comes from west, like most of the time. For 2 weeks the wind changed to northeast (Siberia) and we got snow and freezing temperatures like -18 C ☃️ 0 Fahrenheit. Now the wind have changed and tomorrow we expect 14 C 🌴 😎 57 Fahrenheit. Some of a difference ha ha. Only this snow period this winter - last winter no snow. That is one of the reasons why I hike in Sweden - one hour from Copenhagen. If you drive north for 4 hours in Sweden there is a diffrent mainland climate. How about Alaska ?
