The roommate thing was a problem for me too but I found that they only want to move out if their needs are low. Them having low needs doesn't always come from their traits, they could have low bladder needs because the toilet is broken etc. But sometimes they literally just don't care for themselves. If for whatever reason they don't eat or shower for a while that's when you get the notification that the living standards are bad. What always worked for me was just shift-clicking them and setting their needs back to high whenever I get the notification... Kinda a pain but it works.

Yeah that's what I do as well, I think the roommates' AI is really shoddy and they're just super bad at taking care of themselves. I mean, so are our own sims when we leave them alone for too long haha

@@Maya-xoxoxo it actually is a good trait if you care about your sim's appearance and moods, since eating good quality vegetarian food makes them especially happy, which helps with earning money from better work performance AND makes craftable items more likely to turn out with higher value, and prevents weight gain.. granted, you have to mind what they cook, or make them carry around harvestables to snack on, but I think vegetarian is a better developed trait than many other traits.

@@organicstorm Yeah, I can see that, but honestly you can make your sim happy so easily in so many other ways that it doesn't offer me anything special (esp since moods shift so easily, simply adding a painting in a room will make em happy lol). And the effects on work, craftables, etc is the same no matter what made them happy. Also, making your sim jog once every couple days and eat a salad here and there also prevents weight gain, so it's just not that strong of a trait on its own imo. AND when you play with a family, it's very annoying having to cook separate meals or only certain meals over and over for them because they get upset over AUTONOMOUSLY eating meat products. I'd be less annoyed with the trait if they didn't autonomously consume meat and if it added more interactions or unique activities or something.

I like that you keep the roommate sims locked out of each others bedrooms, but I think you should let them into the living spaces, or at least just the basement where the ping pong table is. The sims seem to always want to queue up to play, so maybe you should at least let all the roommate sims play together? Also I hope you saw my comment on the last video or from today on Twitter! It's about the video station for Trash!! I'll reiterate just in case ;P When doing an 'emotion' vlog, your sim has to stay that emotion for the WHOLE RECORDING TIME! They cannot become even the slightest bit of anything else (uncomfortable, etc..)!! Example, last time you had Trash doing a confident vlog, but all her needs were super low and her confident moodlet didn't have enough time left. What I would have done, was make sure her needs are full, and then get her confident (brush teeth in sink, psych self up in mirror), and then go straight to the video station to record! It seems like a lot of work to do, but honestly it's worth it. Way less frustrations :P

So essentially, Semaj had an affair with Raggy and had Bob, and then had another affair with her sister Lady, and had Banana. That means that Bob and Banana share a dad (half-siblings), but also are cousins (because Lady is Bob's aunt and Raggy is Banana’s aunt). So in case this wasn't confusing enough, Banana and Bob are half-siblings and cousins at the same time. (edit: I was accidentally referring to Banana as Trash)

I think cooking students bring home big plates of food from class. I’ve only seen roommates cook if there’s no other food and they’re not cooking students at University. They put it on every surface in the house but never in the fridge. Also, since Tiny Living my own sims never put food on countertops or dining tables. They go across the whole house to find a coffee table to put food on. I noticed Bob doing it here, even though there’s all the other places to put food closer.

Is that really recent? I thought they did that depending on food type long before tiny living. E.g. baked goods and cakes apparently just have to go on a table instead of a counter for whatever reason.. and some Sims like to put food right from the stove into the fridge.

organicstorm I only noticed it being a problem after tiny living. Everything they cook gets taken out of the kitchen, past the dining room table and into the living room. It’s like they’re obsessed with putting food on coffee tables now. There’s plenty of empty space in the kitchen so it’s weird. Breakfast or dinner, it doesn’t matter. They even want Grand Meals on the coffee table.
