Freezing ground / frost-heaving simulation

The video shows a ground freezing simulation of a building detail. As can be seen under the given climate the foundation of the (heated) building will be safe. However there is a risk of frost-heaving in the soil below the retaining wall.
The simulation has been performed with the software HTflux. The calculation method is compliant with the standard ISO 13793 and can therefore be used to assess or optimize foundation details regarding the protection against frost heaves.
