The best decks in this format, ranked: 1) UB Counter control WITH PESTILENCE/JUSTICE 2) RW trumpet blast tokens (#1 if you avoid above) 3) UW token/tempo/control/card advantage. 4) red burn 5) WB Value/control (token sub theme) 6) Red aggro (truly depends on life gain/early removal) 7) U/x Counter based control 8) W/G tokens/Auras 9) green based ramp Seems like green is the worst color given the extreme amount of removal/two for ones and the prevalence of counters, aggro burn. Tokens seems like the best due to its ability to get under/go around big monsters and makes one for one removal look really bad. Bonesplitter/Morningstar are high picks as they make your tokens into real threats. Basically this format boils down to red Aggro, contro and , x for ones. with tokens going around everyone and battling pestilence/evincars justice for dominance. Edit fun note Antillectual is the current trophy leader. So that something.

I've had some decent success with green based ramp. The secret is splashing good cards from other colors (aka like green ramp with justice/crypt rats). Then you have chonky dudes that survive the wraths and a way to stop tokens.

Caleb Gannon sure so basically just g/b evincar/pestilence/rats but instead of counters/card advantage you replace it with giant monsters that die to infinite pacifisms in the format. I could see that working but not exactly being “top tier”.

Im pretty sure it’s always correct to suspend rift bolt on 1 with burn.

constructed burn yes, idk about burn in cube though where there are more creatures and less burn spells

I can not stress this enough, always suspend rift bolt turn one. Ot is the slowest burn spell in your deck and you typically want to lead with those especially against control as they need to resolve first. You don't want to have to suspend a rift bolt on turn 4-6 as they see it coming also and if they don't play a dork into it you gain tempo. Great video as always and keep it up!

Literally no reason to not suspend Rift Bolt turn one with this deck.

to kill blockers. if I can remove a 3/3 and get in a hit with a 3 power creature, rift bolt essentially did 3 damage anyway while also removing their guy.

Caleb definitely don't know how to play burn. Surprise, blockers doesn't matter when opponent is dead. Go big or go home is a way of life for this kind of players

Personally, I think you should always suspend Rift Bolt T1. You either kill a crappy dork and get tempo, deal 3 damage to the face and maybe get tempo, or kill a threat. Seems good to me.
