If you haven't already covered it elsewhere have you ever made a comparison in types of vegetables, growing time, water usage, electric power consumption and such with those Tower Garden operations?

How much electricity is used per day on average and how many liters of nutrients per week? Thanks!
@Freightfarms3 жыл бұрын
Hi Lydia! Our farms use an average of 168-231 kWh per day, depending on the operation mode of the farm (there are three: Eco, Standard, or Performance). Our nutrients are sold in granular form for an A+B nutrient solution. Combined, 25 lbs total nutrients typically lasts 3 months. You can learn more at www.freightfarms.com/shop.

It would be cool if more cargo ships would use these. Also it would be cool if some if these could be used on cruise ships to cut down on food waste. I do hope that they will be able to make safer and less costly nuclear propulsion for ships. Your modules hopefully can cut down on our food waste in this world, because food is so time sensitive.

Do you do any pollanating to get your own seed? Root vegies for winter sales take longer but is possible.
@Freightfarms3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Our farmers typically focus on producing as much as possible, so prioritize harvesting at peak and replanting rather than seed collection. One of the major benefits of our farms is that they enable year-round production of produce that can traditionally only be grown seasonally. So while you CAN grow small root veggies in the farm, you can also grow lettuce and greens through the winter!

How much capital do you need to set up for this
@Freightfarms3 жыл бұрын
Hi Christian, the Greenery S container farm starts at $139,000 USD and is the most innovative hydroponic container farm on the market that is delivered to you completely pre-assembled so you can start farming immediately. Would you like me to connect you to a sales consultant to discuss further?

For 139k.... You will have lettuce and spinach. Love the idea but the price outweighs the yield by a long shot. It's for wealthy folk. And how much is the monthly light bill ?
@Freightfarms3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Most of our customers see a return on investment within 2-3 years. Electric costs depend on your local rates. The Greenery S average energy usage is about 168-231 kWh per day depending on what energy mode you have it set to.

Lexy, Can State tree farms grow seedlings with FF's system and what about specialty crops one sees in grocery stores?
@Freightfarms2 жыл бұрын
Hi David, As far as specialty crops, yes! Unusual herbs and microgreens grow great in the Greenery S. We haven't tested tree seedlings, but you might be able to grow them in the Greenery S! The farm is best for maximizing space by growing smaller crops (like heads of lettuce), so larger tree seedlings may not be the best use of space.

@@Freightfarms Thanks!! When I see posts on growing or food prepping invariably I put your website in the comments so people can contact you. One question I have is do you have lenders lined up to help those who'd like to set up a FF operation?

Can you grow cannabis? Or can it be modified for for cannabis farming?
@Freightfarms4 жыл бұрын
Hi Deonte, our farms are best for growing leafy greens and lettuces, however one of our customers is currently experimenting with growing cannabis in our Greenery container farm and we hope to have more data on this in the coming weeks.
