Freightliner Cascadia 2019: Diagnostics Menu.

Today we check it out the diagnostics menu on the 2019 Cascadia. I tried to explain a little about it, if you have any questions feel free to ask down below in the comments.
Remember: Those three modules are the most important: ACM, MCM and CPC.

Thank you sir.. gracias...lm looking to change settings.. 2019 cascadia DD15, DT12. The trans is only on economy mode.. l only get 7.5 mpg. Midroof trk pulling light flatbed loads.. Also when the truck switches to E coast the motor idles low and oil pressure drops to 15psi. Is that ok? I'll be in the 45-65mph range.

See I got this Garmin eld as soon I plug let it book two check lights and 2 codes under CGW. I took it out and the codes aren’t there anymore but one check engine light remains. Help

My 2021 freightliner has a triangle next to srrr in the diagnostics. Often it sets off my abs tcu disables my adaptive cruise control

I have mcm problem 171-3 and 171-19. And abs 790-1 check wheel speed sensor b airgap

The MCM codes you need the Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link (DDDL software) to know exactly the codes. About the ABS code if you had performed a brake job recently, perhaps one of the ABS sensor is not in place properly. Make sure your technician check all the brakes to see which is out place. Did you ever find out what your codes were for? I’ve been dealing with the same codes for the last few months they are for the after treatment system and specifically for DEF injection, I have a 2019 Cascadia as well and I’ve spent just about $20,000 trying to fix these codes

How do you reset the fault codes on a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia?

You CANNOT reset fault codes with the ICU (Instrument Cluster Unit) or Dashboard. You need the DDDL (Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link) software or an aftermarket diesel software to clear the faults stored in the ECM.

On the right hand side of the steering wheel there is a button with squares overlapping, when you are in the main screen, press it and a menu to increase it will appear in the main screen, with the arrows up and down, on the left of the steering wheel, you can control the engine speed at idle. Usually, if you have this dashboard (newest cascadia), you can dig in to find out a basic information about the fault code. Over the internet, you might find a bit about it, but in order to know exactly the issue, you are going to need the DDL software. This is a diagnostic tool need it in order to find out why the Check Engine is On or MIL (Malfunction Information Light) is on. I hope this help you with your matter. To know a code just by the SPN, FMI or other methods is hard because there are thousands relate to it.

I replaced a clutch on a cascadia 2017 and it’s stuck on manual and won’t start Telling me to switch to neutral when on neutral

First: is it the new clutch the same as the old one you removed? Sometimes there are slight differences between clutches make sure about it. Second: did you calibrate the new clutch? DDDL 8 software is required for this step. Otherwise, the new clutch will not work properly. I hope this information help you. Thanks for watching.

Your truck has idle shutdown active. If you want to idle, you need to take your vehicle with a technician with DDDL software to remove that feature. Thanks for watching.

I got engine light and its showing sign in MCM and showing fault waring symbol sign but when i click on it it say no fault found. And i got solid yellow engine light. What wrong then if its not showing any code ??

Usually, inactive codes store in the MCM memory, but those codes cannot be check directly from the instrument cluster screen, even when there is a warning sign from it. if your truck MIL (Malfunction Information Light) stays on for few days, you might need to take a repair shop to connect the proper diagnostic tool. CPC (Common Powertrain Controller) codes are relate it to the communication between ECM, TCM and others modules. Sometimes, wires can be the cause and even just the bad weather, for example: Snow conditions or high heat temperatures. Either way, it is really unlikely that you by yourself can fix it without the Software tool (DDDL). If problems persist, you should take it to the nearest shop to let them check the fault codes.
