I just went through this. Did an injector diagnosis and 3 were bad, with the other 3 overfueling to compensate. Had to change all the injectors. 130 miles later I was derated with a spn 3556 fmi 18 code.

Hi francisco, I had the same problem with my cascadia 2016 after dealer doing regen for two or three times he told me the nox conversion effecincy not stable it goes to 84% and back to 81% which may cause to check engine light will come again, I drove the truck for 300 miles without issue but still not trust the truck due to low efficiency, our mechanic in company put hot water from the doser valve opening and ran regen again he said the efficiency become 89% to 86% but it drop to 69% while idling ...all other readings are normal ,dealer told me to replace one box which coast alot of money ...any suggestions to me to fix the issue... All the codes now cleared but I couldn't use the truck till the efficiency become stable ...the truck has 600000 miles on it with detroit dd15 engine and I am only the owner from 2016

in 50% of cases re-occurring spn4364 fmi 18 is related to DEF pump. You can do def quantity test and you will get normal 102-138 ml def. But that is not enough. The DEF pump has a bladder and that bladder must have 40-46 psi air pressure inside. If pressure is lower than 40 psi the truck will throw 4364/18 on uphills or where there is a hot weather. the code will come and go when you drive the truck. There is a special way how to add pressure to bladder...

men I have no idea what is wrong with your truck. I can only tell you how to properly adjust the bladder----.Using a suitable air pressure regulator, regulate shop air to 55 psi. Using clean, dry, and oil-free shop air, a standard air fitting and an air pressure gauge, inflate the DEF pump module air bladder to 2.8-3.2 bar (40-46 psi) through the schrader valve.

Fred C I have same codes and spent $800.00 on a brand new def pump, not a reman and still have problems when I go uphills. Maybe I need to recalibrate the air bladder

I replaced pump and still get that same code whenever I go up a hill, then it goes away in 40 miles of 55 mph derate.

Creo que se equivoca con lo de ppm de los nox sensor, porque no debe de exeder una maxima creo es de 60 ppm entre Los nox sensors, las possible causes de este codigo son, 1 def contaminado 2 incorrect concentracion de urea en el def 3 parcial nox sensor 4exesivo def construido dentro de la caja 5 temperatura exesiva en la caja 6 inapropiado def mantenimiento 7 internamente la caja Dañada.

Maestro de maestros? That is funny! That is how they use to called me at my previous workplace. Yes, you need a USB link nexiq only. The USB link comes with the cables and the adapters. It should be 9 PIN ODB adapter.

Hi, I got that code, was derated to 5mph. I replaced outlet nox sensor, did regent and it showed 90 percent nox conversion. Everything worked great for 1 week until I had a 45,000 lb load going up a very steep hill and the lights came on again. 30 miles later, it derated to 55 mph for 8 miles, then the problem went away. Could it be the inlet nox sensor also? I’ve installed awning kit, changed def filter, def pump def supply lines, and doser and dpf doser. When I hold down accelerator when 55 derate, eventually the power kicks back on and the lights go away. Maybe an electrical problem? Or bad onebox?

Usually the replacement of both sensor at the same time. There are timer hours on those sensor. I think 11000hrs.

Curtis Williams it also could be a short in the wiring in the little box on top of the 1box. Maybe the wires that go to the nox sensors

Francisco, we found code 4364/fm18. did t/s quantity test 123 ml also def contamination was ok 34 % also low temperature test both sensor reading 50 ppm each other then regen nox coversion 0000. Then ran low temperature atd with def metering electric plug disconnects intake nox sensor was reading 256 ppm out let nox sensor. Any ideas ??? Truck is restricted to 5 mph. 2011 Cascadia w/DD15. Help! DPF box?? Can we call you??

First check the fuel dozer injector, remove it and clean it check my video for details kzbin.info/www/bejne/g53JgJSlYtCsgas Now, the low emission problem is caused by a bad SCR box, you will need to replace the SCR box. However, check my video scr box bypass kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYiYiJ5sgsR1gcU And after that perform a regeneration, this will clean all the codes. You can drive the truck with the bypass until you make enough money to buy a new SCR box. Any questions??

every time I go up hill with heavy loud that code comes on.. after a day or too driving it goes off but if I have heavy load it will come back on.

I did an scr efficiency test and the box sensor readings where going up and down so I thought great replace nox outlet sensor but when the test was completed it said test complete check passed

I will recommend you this. This is my experience and my step to FOLLOW to find out what is going on. Instead doing a SCR test, do a parked regen and then go to the scr system screen to monitor the nox response. The conversion has to be greatly that 70% (0.7000) to pass a regen.

Hola. Estoy teniendo este código. La metering unit esta completamente limpia y todo funcionando. Pero no le llega el DEF. el voltage a la Bomba del DEF esta correcto. La bomba mide abajo de 400 ohms. Inlet air to pump it’s clean. No air pressure in the pump. I recharge to 44 psi and still have no DEF going through. Cual puede ser el problema?

fransico, i have a 2011 dd13 and it wont do a proper regen, it has a dpf zone 2 active and it says that the ash accummalator doesnt match the mcm and it is active what is going on with this thing

It has 3216 Nox inlet drift low. I checked the injectors with the idle up test. Does not have any egr codes and I am going to put inlet Nox and do a regen and see if that works. Just a yellow check engine light mil is on

If it happened after a def refill u need to do a regen should clear by it self when the truck finds the def was between 31 to 34% concentration

I did a Regen and the quality light went away.it started like this I pumped 8 gallons this morning. I noticed the pump was slow at pilot and figured i was pulling bottoms. So i stop short of the 12 i usually do. I noticed a brown tint also. 5 hrs later the light came on. I regen and pumped out the bottom of my def tank like a gallon. Thou i didn't see any brown. This is why i went months on box def. Going back to box def only. Can't trust bulk def from these stations. If i didn't know better 😔

The shop in Harrisburg ripped me off. The deviated from the PSL and replaced the inlet nox sensor. Then they replaced one box. Then they replaced the outlet nox sensor. Then they did not do the cause of failure. Is this a proper diagnosis of a 1 box failure? Thank you. Frank
