Cool story, now do something the drivers that actually have to live in these trucks want! Change that stupid ladder on the top bunk that everyone hits there head on, and add more hvac vents around the sleeper!
@truckerzachbell2 ай бұрын
I'd like these changes, and 2 cup holders on the fridge cabinet. Also, in team driving environments, their "CPAP table" doesn't work with modern CPAP machines like ResMed's AirSense 10, AirSense 11, and AirMini, F&P's SleepStyle, the Breas Z2, and the Philips DS2 and DS Go. These smaller CPAPs fly off the table on potholes and experience motor failure due to their lighter weight and different designs vs the older CPAP machines (Philips original DS, ResMed's S9, the BMC/3B Medical Luna) this table was designed for. The bunk restraint also occasionally gets entangled with the slimline tubing from the newer CPAP machines, causing the CPAP machine's tube to leak. A better CPAP shelf or table would easily fix both issues.

I'm one of the last few, trained back in 2009, and have 2 million miles under my belt. Although I currently drive a Cascadia, I still like to drive a truck with a 13 or 18 speed stick shift every now and then. These days, they just throw someone in the cab without so much as putting them with a truly experienced driver. "You only need 3 months of driving for us, after you get your CDL, to become a trainer." -Mega carriers everywhere My current carrier did this with a driver and she needed serious help with hooking a set of pup trailers. I ran with her for a week and took some time to help her hook up trailers in tight spaces. By the end of the week, she had much greater confidence when she was hooking the sets up.

NYC traffic. Gotta love it. Luckily, if this situation happens, NYC will finally be able to compete with Chicago, Texas, and China for the Guinness World Record traffic jam. The 3 world records are: 1. Chicago's I-294 after an ice storm in February 2016. 32 miles long, took 60 hours to clear. Length record. 2. The Beijing Border Crossing Jam in 2015. 50 lanes wide at the checkpoint, Roughly 30 miles and 27 hours long. Caused by a computer glitch at the checkpoint. 3. Time record: Texas Valentine's Day 2021 Ice Storm. Interstate 10 between Fort Stockton and San Antonio. Over 100 hours long (plus the consequences of a related, statewide, 3 day long power outage). This storm also caused a major car and truck pileup in the TexPress lanes on I-35W in Fort Worth. Some drivers were stuck on I-10 for as long as a full 7 days (1 week) during this event. The ice was eventually cleared when the high temperatures warmed back up into the 50s and the sun came back out. Many Texas freeways are currently getting upgraded to be safer and to handle more traffic as a result of this event. Dozens of new rest areas and truck parking areas are being built in Texas as I type this, including 2 on Interstate 30, 1 on Interstate 45, and an additional 1 on Interstate 20.
