Great first 2 seasons... I just finished watching '86 last night... I'm looking forward to watching '89. Reminds me of the 80s and the Cold War when I was a college student...

In a sea of terrible generic TV, which most people will watch due to lockdown, this is a well written and well acted drama and worth watching.

If you want to watch them before, it's already on putlockers and fmovies Generally understand Deutschland 83 s1, s2 and s3 (instead of 83, 86 & 89)

I saw the first series the year it was released and have re-watched '83 a total of 4 or 5 times. I'm hoping to catch up on the rest soon but living overseas it was impossible to access--what station does the show originally air on?

Watch this series if you can catch it somewhere. It is really so good. This presentation here kind of makes it look like some drama- comedy. It's definitely, NOT. It's all drama built sround actual events in the 1980s.

Laughably unbelievable in so many aspects, I'm talking about both series, but entertaining nevertheless and some bits are accurate, others wildly off the mark. What I found funny too was in 86 how in the later episodes he's running around in cargo pants (not fashionable til the late 90s, 80s was era of drainpipe jeans) and hoodies and baseball caps, which you didn't see outside the USA for another 15 years or so.

I was a teenager in the late 80s in England and hoodies and baseball caps were definitely fashionable then.
@simonh63713 жыл бұрын
@@myvids1415 The only hoodies I remember from this time were non-zipping Adidas hoodies with a sleek shiny texture with names like ''New York'', emulating US fashions where hoodies had been worn for longer. Likewise at least where I was - in the West Midlands - baseball caps, or what people in the UK now call baseball caps (the thinner version with narrower visors) were a rarity. The late 80s was the era of Acid House, predecessor of rave/techno/jungle etc. If you google image search ''acid house fashion'' and ''early 90s rave fashion'' you won't see any hoodies, instead people wore very baggy cotton sweatshirts/long sleeve t shirts, and baseball caps are far less common that the sun hat/bush hat. More mainstream casual fashions were shell suits, which never had hoods.

@@simonh6371 At my school the shell suit style Nike jacket was the thing to wear and they had hoods, maybe it was a regional thing ( I was in Norfolk and a bit earlier) but there are a lot of pictures online of Nike jackets without hoods so maybe I am remembering a fad at my school. I can remember Jesus Jones and EMF? They were around that time and very hoodie/baseball cap.

Such a brilliant series! It seems that with so much quality tv these days, from all over the world, sometimes amazing series like this doesn’t get quite as much coverage around the world as it should. Much love from the Land Down Under 🥰🦘🇦🇺❤️
